Small Business - October 2007

I am just starting up a Toasted Sandwich business - doing markets and country shows etc with my trailer. I had my heart set on "Tasty Toasties" but the name has already been registered. What else can I call it that is catchy and easily remembered?

My friend and I signed a one year advertising contract with a Spanish Radio Station in Reno. This contract states that it is a non-cancellable contract. My friend already had her day in court and the radio station did not win she only had to pay for the time her commericals aired. The reason I am cancelling is because this person withheld crucial information needed when making a long term committment to him. I had a hunch that this person was a "bad business man." He runs his radio station as a non profit business and there is nothing that is non profit about it. He owns a church and I think this is how he was able to pass the exception to his other numerous radio stations to list them as non profit. I am so scared I have never been in court and I wasn't sure if there was a certain general rule about cancelling a contract? It was a nightmare to get his business license number. He does not diplay it at the office and righfully so he doesn't want anyone knowing of his scame.

Ok heres my storie i was siting in class (fresno state university) and noticed there was a paper hanging on the wall that said get paid for taking surveys online $2-125 each. I was wondering is this is real or is it a scam. I checked out the website but its hard to tell if it is or if its not and i really need the money. any suggestion? i have just enrolled on a home based course to be a wedding consultant but im not sure if i have made the right choice, i think its maily because i have no idea how to get the business started once i have qualified, what if no one wants a wedding consultant, i cant afford to waste money on this course but it sound really interesting, does anyone have any advice.

Can I open a new real estate business/office without holding a license in Australia (NSW)? Can I just pay someone who has completed the diploma to be able to hold a license so they can be the licensee in charge?

Basically I would like to be the one that provides the funding (as a director and owner), and have someone who has the relevant qualifications to hold the license. Eventually down the track I would then like to open multiple offices and franchise out across Australia.

Hi,
So I am started a dog apparel line. I have been sewing my friends who have little dogs clothing for a long time and they really think that this is something I should start a business for. Not just advice from them but from others as well. I had an offer to design for a dog merchandise company but would rather do it on my own. I know some might think it's silly but my friends' dogs are their children to them! So, I really enjoy making them stuff. I was wondering on some idea on how to start. I have started amongst my friends but they are more gifts then business...should I start my own website?? Ebay store?? Please expand on some ideas...

I knew the owner for 7 years he always kept his word on payment except the last time he order. I think he planned everything to order a large amount & then sell his business with a larger inventory. Is that fraud & what can I do if it is criminal matter.

This guy (592 Feedback, 99.7%) won one of my items, and it turns out he lives by my school. Is it against eBay policy to refund shipping charges (he already paid in full), and offer to just drive over there and drop off the package myself? Or is it possible that he can screw me over since there's no shipping confirmation? I haven't asked him yet
