I've worked in several stores since I was 16 but now I want something that pays a little more. 8 dollars is minimum wage here in canada. I'm looking for something over 10 dollars. Maybe 15? I'm currently changing programs in college so I don't think I can actually find work using my education. I'm transfering to a nutrition program at another university.

Anyways, I need work!
What kind of positions should I search for that would suit my age and salary expectations? Office work? A store manager? What else? Maybe something in the health care industry?

My little craft business has grown & I'm in need of a name for it.
75% of my stock is wooden items that I handcraft & then personalize them at customers request on site via woodburning. The other 25% are items that are either made from or reflect "nature" in a 'woodsy/foresty' fashion.
Based on the imagery I want the name and logo to reflect (which is a forest fairy), my friends/family & myself came up w/a list of 20 which I've cut down to 5....
I NEED YOUR VOTES on which one to use!

have wood crafts,florals,xmas items some handmade others bought. I'm closing my shop in Pa. & need a way to get rid of my inventory other than ebay or on line! Part of my job description is to fill out weekly reports assessing how things are going in the job place. I have a problem with one of my co-workers. She keeps assigning and obligating us to do activities as a staff, when she DOES NOT have to do this at all. (We have 2 supervisors for this). Every week we meet with them as a staff, and every week she has some dumb activity to do. I was wondering if it would be smart to write down how I feel it's really annoying having her talk down to us when she is on our very own level. She is not above us to be instructing, lecturing us as to how to do our job. If she wants to do that, then why not just apply to be a supervisor and quit undermining our current supervisors position as well. What do you think?- My supervisor would be reviewing this report with me as well. Would it be smart or dumb to talk about this?

I work for a public accounting firm. I am looking for a new job and am writing up my resume. Should I include the specific names of the clients I have worked on over the past few years? They are very reputable fortune 500 companies (finance firms, mostly). Is this okay or is it frowned upon by employers? Thanks

My Filipina mother is a fantastic cook! She is always receiving accolades of how tasty her dishes are. I have eaten her food for all of my 37 years of life, and have never tired, nor will ever tire of her cooking.

I would like to start a restaurant (a small and modest one) that features her cooking. She still needs some coaxing to warm up to the idea.

Anyways. Anyone have any advice on how to start one?

~ How do we trial run the concept? Seeing if people in our area would be interested in a particular ethnic food.

~ What are the general start-up costs involved in opening a small restaurant? And, if that amount of capital is not readily available, how to go about raising it?

~ What are basic principles in ensuring a restaurant does not fail? What are guidelines or the "Dos and Dont's" generally applied?

~ Are there differences of menued and buffet restaurants? In terms of operating costs and codes?

~ What kinds of licenses and certifications are involved?

I want to start a business and website /agency. If I want to open a business account with my bank obviously not under my own name, because people who would pay me would not write my name on a check but the companies name?....How do I get my bank to do that? Basically do I need to register it? And what does that mean ...how much does it cost to register a name and have it as my own with my bank...is it hard to have your bank do that for you.? Hi, i'm up for my 3month review at work, when they offered me the job the offered me 50 cents less than i asked for, now at my three month review i am wondering how much of a raise i can ask for? i'd like a $1.50 raise, but i think thats a bit much to ask for, what is too much?my job is assistant bookkeeper, and this is my first job in thatposition, but it breaks down to just office work, which i have lots of. please help, thank you! =)
