Depends on what business you are going to have. You will probably need many licenses. From many different sources. IRS, the county and the state. Contact the SBA "Small Business Association. Go to www.sba.gov and they will give you free help on anything to do with business.

You can also call your state's Department of Revenue. Most are online, but there's so many different types of licenses you'd likely want to talk to a real person about what you need.
Give a look-see on the internet first, just google your state and 'business license' in the word box.
But the suggestion of checking with the SBA or local SCORE office is good too.
