I rent the home on a 2 year lease I have 16 months left on my lease. I have never been late on a payment. I rent the home furnished and this was her idea that she leave her furniture in the home so I go rid of a lot of my things. She did tell me a few things she would want, which she already took. She left to go to another state to help take care of a sister who was dying of cancer. The sister died so she came back here and is living rent free in a neighbors home while he is in Florida. He is trying to sell the home and wants someone in it. She told me that everything stays with the house except a few items which were taken by her, now she wants other furniture. She came over and removed a coffee table without my approval. She asked my daughter to bring over a chair and ottoman which was suppose to stay with the house. I was mad. I told her that never again can she come in and remove furn. She was mad but I was madder. I told her she is breaking the lease and she is wrong whos right

I had a deal in place to sell a home for an agreed upon price. The purchase agreement was signed and the house had passed the home inspection with flying colors. However, the appraisal came in at $17000 below the selling price. The appraiser spent all of 10minutes at the house. He estimated the value of a spare buildable lot at $400. He miscalculated a built-in porch area as not part of the living space. And he comped the house against an older house in another town. The deal was killed. It cost us $157,000. And now we may need to go thru a realtor which will cut our profit another $10,000. What can we do to make that appraiser accountable for this?

Originally i thought i had signed a 12 month lease, that was the understanding of both myself and my husband. We received a copy of the lease now after 4 months and the date had been changed. It says September 1st to September 30 2007. The 7 is turned into an 8, we are having problems with our landlords and want to end the lesae, it doesn't specify anywhere on the lease whether it is a year or month to month, can this be considered a month to month, since we originally signed through those dates. giving a 30 day notice is all that needs to be done, and we have done that, they argued that it was 12 months, but the lease says different. It is clear that they changed the 7 to an 8. also we would not have signed if we new it only said sept 30, 2007 because we were looking for a 12 month lease. And to make it clear we moved in in sept of this year 2007. Would this stand if we were to go to court? Please Help, Thank you.

Like...can you get a mortgage on them? I understand they are a cross between a mobile home and an RV but if they are put on a foundation are they considered a home? My husband are looking into purchasing one as a temporary home (2-7 years) while we save up and build our dream home. Any advice from park model owners.

We are having several problems with our roommate:
a)She pays rent a day late or so every month and hasn't paid for Nov. yet.
b)She is moody and rude to everyone in the house. She creates unwanted drama and,
c)She's messy

All of the roommates want her gone. But our problem is that she isn't on the lease. We don't know what to do legally. We are under rent control in SF and landlord isn't being much help. This is already becoming a huge problem. What should we do?

I know about the right to quiet enjoyment, but in my lease it says that they can come in and inspect our apartment. She expects us to clean the windows inside and out. I live on the third floor! She also looks in the refridgerator, cabinets and the closets. She gave us a letter that said what she expects to be clean. My apartment is not unihabitable by any means. Can she do this legally and what can I do to prevent this invasion of privacy?

I have been renting a apartment for 2 years in MI. No problems with the place, no late rent or anything.
Problem is, my mother is buying me a house to live in and I need to get out of the lease, I have about a year left on it.
I have combed through the lease a few times and there is nothing about a lease agreement or penalties. All there is, is contracts for pet rent and lead.

How do I get out of this without being charged crazy fees?
I have a good relationship with the property manager.

Any suggestions please?

I am buying a home. My realtor (Remax agent) has charged me $595 for professional/admin fees. Is this customary?Should I pay?

I have checked with some friends who have brought houses thorough non remax brokers. None of them paid the same. Can I refute the same.

A piece of property in our family has been offered up to a buyer outside the family at an unknown price. The family has been told they can offer on the property as well, but only if they also buy the owner out of their share of a different property as well. Is this legal and can anyone point me to any references?

Thank you!

I recently moved into a duplex. So far, I have had many problems.
1. Window shattered next to front door that was finally replaced one week later.
2. Toilets that run water. It was so-called repaired 1 and 1/2 week later after the first complaint and now runs more than before. It has been three weeks since the last complaint and nothing has happened yet.
3. Garbage disposal that collapsed.
4. And the final straw, rodents (5 in 24 hours). In which I asked about, among many other things, before I signed the lease and told I would not have a problem.
This list goes on and on.
After, one month and a few days, I desperately want out of my lease. If anyone knows what my legal rights are in the state of Texas, please let me know so that I can move as quickly as possible.

I took a 30 year mortgage a few years ago. The original amount financed was about $66,000. I have come off with approx. 75,000 through a land sale. Is it possible to pay off the 66,000 or do I still face the total amount, which is about 176,000 (FOR 30 YEARS)?
