You need to provide more information than that. Is this from an ad? If so, what does the ad say exactly?

I am guessing that you have been looking at 'foreclosure websites', and have seen the ads for homes in this price range. Be advised that the price listed is NOT for the home, but is merely for the amount of a delinquent lien(s) on the property.

If you get involved in such a 'purchase', you will probably discover that you are going to pay off one specific lien (such as back taxes) while inheriting all the other liens attached to the property.

Proceed with EXTREME caution.

Some real estate companies have programs for their agents, and this might be one of them; it could mean greater commissons for their agent, kind of like a bonus program. Things like this sometimes have to be disclosed to other agents, and this could be how your market lets other agencies know the listing agent has a more personal stake in selling this property. Your best bet is to ask your agent. Anything else is just a guess!
