Going on for 2 1/2 months. I finally sent a regersted letter and she told me to move. I ask for the repairs to be made a she went crazy. What are my rights as a tenant. I have a 1 year lease. I have never been late with the rent. I told her I was not paying it until the repairs were made.

I purchased my condo originally for 60,000 It is now worth 80,000 I am going to refinance it. I am going to take out 10,000. Does this meen, If I were to sell it before living in it two years. I would only be taxed capital gains on the remaining 10,000 I will be earning at closing?

The master bedroom has its own bathroom. We would split the rent three ways, but I am willing to pay more for my own bathroom. How much would be fair to pay for that luxury?

I don't mean a 1031 exchange. Say, my home is valued at 1 million, but I bought it at 500,000. Can I trade that home for another million dollar property and maintain my current mortgage since the value of the new property is the same?

"if you mortgage a property for more than your investment in it, you have a built-in profit even if you can't pay the mortgage at maturity."
I don't understand why and how this takes place, can some one explain to me? thanks!

I purchased a home in an excellent area for $350,000. I have spent $85,000 for remodeling. The house will easily sell for $795,000. I plan to sell as soon as possible. What tax benefits would I gain in taking my time in selling versus selling immediately? Would the tax gains be worth my while to wait for the perfect buyer? Is there a timetable showing benefits of keeping investment real estate for a period of time versus selling immediately?

I want to purchase a home and I was wanting to apply to see if I qualify for the FHA loan. I live in Amarillo, Texas. I am married and don't have any children. Im a full time student and my husband works for a meat packing plant. My 26 yr old sister and her two children have been living with us for the past 3 yrs. My sister doesnt work so for the last two yrs, well this would be the third, we have been claiming her children on our taxes. My question is: Would I be able to use her two children as dependents when applying for the home loan? Could my husband use me as a dependent since I dont work? My husband and I are both 23 yrs old. Any help is appreciated

We signed for escrow about 30 hrs ago. Our Lender changed the numbers on us, numerous times. We kept on accepting changes a little bit a time but failed to look at the whole picture. Suddendly, we cannot afford the new home. Our Earnest money is $5k that we are ok with loosing. We are just worried that they may sue us for anything? can they? How do I get out of Escrow.? FYI - We dont have realtors. HELP... thank you so much!

After we purchased our land we spotted a cabin in the trees. This was in May 2005 and now there is a couple claiming it is their cabin and want to take it off the land. They claim because the cabin is on skids that it doesn't belong to the land. We bought our land "as is" and don't feel they have any rights to the cabin. Before we took possession of the land but after we had made an offer to buy the land "as is" 2 sheds on skids were taken from the land. The seller compensated us for these sheds so obviously it shouldn't matter if the buildings are on skids or not. They have contacted a lawyer, I suppose we will have to do that also. Thanks for your time

MY grandfather owns his home and has savings. after a gas leak...grandmother is now in a nursing home at $300/day and his future living situation is up in the air.(still in hospital) perhaps will also have to be in nursing home, maybe in home care. grandmother sole named in will and mentally not there.....medicaid won't pay till all assets drained. at $600/day it will only take a year and a half to lose a life time's savings. is there any way legally to get grandmother to be separated from assets? so it doesn't all go so quickly for them....they have potentially 8-10 years left...it would be sad to be reduced to social security checks in such a short time...NO ONE in our family is out for THEIR money..we just want to make right decision. Any help is appreciated...they live in NJ if that matters.

What is the average waiting time for one to move into a home after it being purchased?

And, what is being processed during that time? During this time, would I be able to save extra money for costs associated with Closing, etc.

Thanks.

I am thinking about buying an older house, but I have discovered that someone has a 40ft x 5 ft. section of land that runs through about 3 feet of my house (even inside the house). What can be done to aquire this land should the owner refuse to sell? No joke, the gis map shows this line right through the bedroom , etc.

I have just been approved for a First Time Homebuyers Purchase Loan for the amount of $125,000. in Southern New Jersey (this may not seem to be much but, I do not earn a great deal, and am single, with no real responsibilities). I am looking to purchase a 2-3 bedroom, 1+ bathroom Townhouse, with a family room.

Anyhow, I have 100% financing, and am planning to ask for a Seller's Concession for pay for Closing Costs.

What are some expected out-of-pocket fees that I may have to pay at settlement. And, if there are any, what is a TOTAL sum of an Estimated amount that I should have on hand for these expenses.

I am hoping that the amount of money I am required to pay will not be a great deal, and I will be able to pay them from my Paycheck. In addition, I do have at least $2800. set aside.

Thanks.
