Depending on where you live, I'm sure it varies. In Florida it ranges 100-130 a sq. ft.
If you are looking for a bargain that will last go to www.tri-steel.com you can buy these steel home packages and if you find someone who puts steel buildings together for a living, get a wonderful price. Example: I am buying a Pkg that is a 3800 sq ft house for roughly 30,000. i found a guy that will put it together for 2.50 a sq ft, so roughly 12-13,000. thats not bad. then you have to finish it, plus, land, foundation, plumbing and sorts. But if you don't want but 1000 sq ft. then you'll pay less. Call the place and check it out, ask for Barrie, She is a big help, tell ther Barbara sent you.

It will depend on your location, building codes, zoning laws, price of building permit, sewer and water hook up. Are you sure you can only have a 1000 sq. ft. home in your town?
I am sure there are places your cost might be as low as $75.00. On the higher side, $500.00.
My area $180.00 for 2000 sq ft. usually a 1000 will be more per sq ft as the cost of the kitchen and baths cost much more than a bed room.
I suggest you talk too builders in your area for a better estimate.

Depending on where you live this could vary.. You need to look into local costs to get a better estimate since you do not have listed where you are wanting to build.
