As far as a partnership with Yahoo, that belongs to Prudential. I am with another company and our listing appear on the site because they are in our multiple listing service (MLS) ... and that is where they get the information on available homes. We do not pay any more to have the listings appear.
If you look up an office or local Realtor through Yahoo, you only get the Prudential offices/agents.

I'm not aware of any escrow affiliated with Yahoo, but I know Yahoo is not actually in the real estate business. They are paid to advertise the listings there. Prudential supposedly holds the contract to advertise on there, but everyone's listings show up, especially if you have virtual tours they are usually automatically linked to Yahoo Real Estate provided you have a good virtual tour provider.

I searched for homes in my neighborhood and I saw listings from Prudential, Coldwell Banker, etc. I think the real estate companies just pay for some sort of partnership with Yahoo and their listings appear on Yahoo's web site. The same with the Realtors. They must pay to be advertised on the Yahoo site. I had a telemarketer from Google call me today asking me to pay for the same thing.
