I sold my house and the title company closed well over a month ago. I'm still waiting for final copies of the paperwork from the Title company. What I want are copies which were signed by both parties. I believe it is my right to have copies of these documents in my posession. I have tried calling the Title company. The person who processed my closing does not return my calls. I also left messages with the Title Operations Manager, and he is not returning my calls either. My Realtor's office has also been calling on my behalf and they say the Title company is not returning their calls either. I've since moved out-of-state so walking in the front door and getting in someone's face is not an option. Should I get an attorney at this point or should I wait a little longer?

We renewed our listing agreement with our agent for another 3 months. My husband did not sign it and did not want to renew it. I signed on my own. I was not sure of his wishes as he was not at home. We want to terminate. It's been on the market for 4months and we were led to believe the price was fine up to the time we renewedl.A week after we renewed at a certain price our agent started pressuring us to drop the price over $30,000 less! The house had no activity for almost a month. The agent said she wouldn't mind doing an Exclusive at 3% at this much lower price. We said that would be fine. She then checked with her agent and called us to tell us it wasn't a good idea and she wouldn't advertise the house if it went to 3% at the lower price. She said we should drop it and keep it at 5%! She also said that her agency "did all they could for us at the higher price!" Now we want out. We were never given copies of any of the forms we signed! Price changes etc. Victims of BAIT & SWITCH?

I don't want them to have power of attorney. I will be responsible for repairs and maintenance issues. I live a mile away so contacting me will also be easy. BUT they still want one for some reason.

Public records show my house 100sgft smaller than it is. And they
don't show a two car attached garage. Let alone the fact that it sits on 1/2 acer instead of a postage stamp lot. And another three car
garage out back w/half bath. Triple wide concrete driveway. Oh and
a 10X20 hand biult on a slab out back that had no damage from Ivan.

We have had numerous problems with our rented home for the year we've been there. Our lease states that our landlord is responsible for all major repairs, and we've kept all of our bills paid, yet our plumbing is clogged, the cental heat and air unit exploded because of exposed wires throughout the house, and there is a huge beehive on one side of the house. The landlord admitted after we moved in that he's had problems with bees, plumbing, and electrical hazards for years, yet he said that now it is "our problem" and if we don't fix it, he'll sue to have it fixed for his next tenants (we are having to move because the house is really falling apart from all of the problems) This is his only renthouse and we are his first tenants. He also said that we can't get our security deposit back because he's already spent it. He also said that he never put any of our rent money into a separate account for possible repairs, and has spent the thousands we paid for rent over the year.

Basically, we've been keeping a dog in a no pets allowed apartment for a very long time. The landlord gave us fair warnings and threats to get rid of it but as he doesn't live in the building, we've been able to avoid both. He hadn't come around for a very long time until recently and although we've managed to avoid talking to him in person, he'll probably be giving us an eviction notice straight away for breach of contract.

We'd get the apartment professionally cleaned before leaving (um, we've managed to turn the carpet into quite a mess...) but my real question is this: The apartment lease is not under my father's name. It's under the name of a friend of the family and he doesn't live in the country anymore. I remember the landlord threatened to ruin our credit report but since the information laid down was not ours, what are the possible scenarios that could happen in our situation?

I recently left my apt last month. I left if as it was given to me. Except the carpet cleaning. The landlord shorted me $ 100.00 for paint. I took pictures of the walls the day i left and there was no need for the walls to be painted. She told me that it was painted when i moved in when it wasn't. Now i don't want her to get away with it cuz i left the apartment clean and the walls were clean. Can anyone give me any information on how i can solve this issue? or any websites i can research?

I have my eye on a home that is half finished being built. Exterior walls, windows, foundation, elec., heat and roof are installed. Only things needed are interior walls, appliances, fixtures, flooring, landscaping, and pool surfacing. What type of loan would be best suited to purchase and then finish this home? Purchase? Construction? Thanks.
