I have had a lot of stupid things which have ruined my credit, mostly medical bills, and I know my credit is really pretty horrible. I have a family, and I have the money to put down get into my first home. To Whom and where could I go to actually go about buying my first home, and would I need to repair my credit beforehand? How would I go about doing that? Do a lot of places sell first homes and take a deposit only to those with bad credit situations?

I live in NC and my former landlord lives in FL. They refuse to return my deposit and half months rent and won't take my phone calls anymore. I want to sue to get my money back. Can I sue here in NC because they own property here, or do I have file where they live in FL?

I normally live in shared accommodation, but am sick of it. I am looking for a one bedroom flat but am struggling with the how much the monthly rents seem to be. So, do I compromise and move to a rather grotty area where I have seen a flat that is in reasonable condition, or stick to a nicer area and accept I get far less for my money?

Before listing your house with a real estate agent,
give serious consideration to going the For Sale By Owner (FSBO) route and save yourself a bundle of money. Is it easy?
No. Is it as difficult as the Realtors like to make you believe it is?
No. You have to do your homework, but the bottom line can be
well worth it.

Long story short. I have a house in Calif. that was to be shared with a real estate partner. The loan is in my name, but after some shady actions (not by me), I believe the title is now solely in his name. If I were to simply walk away from the house, would the credit agencies go after me or him? He also owns another house in Calif. Would they put a lien on his home?

We have been lied to through our "buyer" agent for the umpteenth time. I won't list all the problems, I'll get straight to the question. We're ready to put an offer on a home that he showed us and lied to us about various things. We are extremely uncomfortable working with him. We have an exclusive agreement with him. We want to offer on the home. Is there another way to do this without working with him? Through his broker perhaps? If this deal doesn't go through, how do I break my contract with him. He said before I signed it he would break it if we were unhappy at anytime. This would be the 2nd house we are putting an offer on, so he KNOWS we're serious buyers and looking to buy. We also have a decent amount of money to spend, so it's a nice sale for him. Should I have never shown him my pre-approval letter? I thought he was working for me, but he only cares about his commision and it isn't for our best interest. Any advice is beyond welcome. This is pretty time sensitive.

I found a house I like while browsing. I had no plans to buy but now I am thinking about it. I have good credit and job history but no savings really. So I would need to do a 100% financed loan; what would I then need to pay for out of pocket?
Thanks for helping...

I recently looked at a home that was listing through an agent. I met the seller personally and he showed me the house himself as he's a friend of my family. I made a written offer through my own agent to the sellers listing agent just recently. The seller has not accepted my offer and his contract with his listing agent expires at the end of this month. He contacted me to see if I would be willing to wait till his contract expires and we can make a deal without our realtors to avoid paying the commissions. Is this legal and do I have any obligation to my agent now that I have put in a written offer through him? Thanks.
