About a year back, my family and I moved out of this apartment complex:

http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/PA-Reading-Woodgate-Apartments.html

I can see now that we are not the only people who had a problem with the apartment manager. I feel really bad for the tenants who still have to put up with her. I've sent an email to the company that owns the apartment complex, but I have a feeling that's not going to do a whole lot of good.

What is the best way to go about raising a formal complaint against this woman? Should I contact the Better Business Bureau, or is there some higher contact I can go to?

My wife has a credit score of 650, and I have a 620. We are both working on improvement of those scores. She does not have a job, I am active duty military 7+ years. We want to buy a home that costs about 180k. Annual income is about 41k. Will we qualify? Will they combine our FICO scores or just use mine since I am the only one currently working?
What is the best type of loan to get. I know to try using the VALoan. But what is best? Interest only loans? etc.

I signed an apartment rental lease 2 years ago and it stated I would be responsible for all utilities EXCEPT the water and garbage. There are not any submeters for water for the four units here. He told me I have to sign an addendum saying I would pay 1/4 of the water bill, and if I didn't he would serve me, reject my rent and evict me. He made it very clear this is not a rent increase. I have contacted my local rental board about this matter also, but just wanted other opinions.

Why people do not know about the wealth builder? And for homeowners out there, why do you not think this is a good program. I mean, If you could get your monthly payments cut almost in half, why wouldn't most people want to do this??

My bf and I are looking at buying we got preapproved for a loan of 184,900 which is the asking price for the loft we are intrested in.
Some History:
www.thefremont.com
The loft has been sitting since April with no buyers , the investor that bought 6 of the 92 units has 3 still avaible since April1/06.
There is still 20 something units in this building for sale.
We prefer to buy thru the investor because the realtors seem much easier to reach and get answers from.
They included the blinds ( 2 windows @ 300 dollars a peice, they are huge old mill windows) and washer and dryer ( estimated value of $1,000)
They are offering $4,000 paid towards closing cost.
The Fremont Lofts realtors that still have about 20 units open are offer Condo Fees paid for a year ( value of 1,986)
So here I ask what is the lowest we can offer without insulting them but for us to get a good deal?
The investor paid 144k for the units he bought, and he has been sitting on them since April.

My home is in Littleton, CO -- a standard 3 br 2 bath jobbie in the burbs. I keep hearing about a pending real estate (and then maybe economy) crash. How likely is this? If there is such a crash, does that simply mean my home would be 1/2 its value? If no crash, I expect interest rates will go up and therefore bring home prices down. How much of a change are we talking?

I realize nobody knows this for sure, but are there any experts or people with experience out there who have an opinion backed up with some facts/stats?

I wanted to know if townhomes are a good real estate investment. I've heard mixed reviews from different sources. For instance, I've heard that in a bad market, these types of properties depreciate the most. I also heard that they are harder to resell and get the full value out of them. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I was charged an additional $300.00 that I need to pay on my next month's bill. The taxes went up about $250.00 and my coupon book says I need to pay $20.00 more per month because of that. What I do not understand is why I am hit with a heavy $300.00 escrow bill that I need to pay now. Is this something that is going to happen annually? Last year my monthly payment decreased. I am a new homeowner and I do not understand this procedure nor is my mortgage company able to explain it to me so that I understand the process. Thank you very much.
