My friends dad past away, and he is currently paying the rent until the place is cleaned out. Is there any way that I can move into the apartment and get my name on the lease and pay the same rent control that he was paying, which was 800.

I will be moving out by the end of the month, the landlord said that he was going to use part of my deposit to repaint the apartment, there are no holes on the wall it's clean, we've been living there for 2 years, I just want to know if he can actually do this.

There was some damage in the bath and it was noted in my move out. She said she was going to get her carpet guy to quote it for repair. (I had the carpets cleaned the day before my final walkthru). No visable dirt, no smell. She said all was fine.A week later she calls and says that her carpet guy found urine under the area in the dining room after pulling up the carpet. Why would he pull it up unless he was looking for something to charge me with? And also the carpet has not been replaced since the complex opened 4 yrs ago. Now they are trying to charge me for it. He was only suppose to quote for a repair to the bath. It doesnt sound legal. Do I have any rights?

I couldn't make the payment last month, if worse comes to worse, if were to lose the home to deed in lieu or foreclosure would I lose the new one also that is on a different moertgage with different bank?

I want to move out a year from now I am planning to save up at least $5000. Is that enough to get me started with deposits for everything I need to put a deposit on. Next I want to know what bills I will have to pay that I didn't consider and about what they run a month. So far I've got rent, electric, gas, car insurance, phone. Anything else and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a house for an investment in the UK in April. I had planned to rent this to cover the mortgage and as luck would have it, the occupier wanted to stay on and rent the house. It was her marital home which had to be sold as part of her divorce but she and her kids were happy to stay on and she said she could pay the rent with her marriage settlement. I got her to sign a tennancy for one year and she paid me 3 months rent up front. She seemed decent and genuine but since then she has hasn't paid me a penny. She owes me 3 months rent and is refusing to answer my calls or open the door, even though I can she she is in. I have been patient and not put her under any pressure but now I just want her out - HELP PLEASE before I become bankrupt!

I am specifically looking for a site where it explains and goes into detail about the 1003 form [application form for a mortgage] and how to fill it out and what the things mean on there. I also would like more information about what's in a loan package and how you put it together. I tried to google the things I was looking for, but I couldn't find what I needed. So if any people who work in this industry or someone else who knows a lot about lending could help me out, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

If you move into a house with your boyfriend and both names are on the lease, and you break up and move out before the lease expires, are you liable for rent only up till the date you move out, for a number of weeks after you move out or the entire duration of the lease period?

Hello. A former tenant left a ton of trash outside of the house when s/he left and abandoned a vehicle in the driveway with trash in the back on July 31st (when the lease was up). The property manager advised that the vehicle should be towed on August 21st. For the next renter, a clean up crew threw away all of the trash and then moved the vehicle to the street. The homeowner's association then complained. The property management towed the vehicle last week (about 35 days later). Was everything done ok? The state this happened in was Arizona. I live out of state. I believe the vehicle is now impounded. Is there anything I should do? If the property management company did not follow the letter of the law, am I responsible or are they since they were my agent?

I Live in Phoenix, Arizona and I am in the process of buying a house. I have seen a house which I really like and it is built in 1988 but the house is in a very good shape. Do you think that the age of the house is important and I should be looking for newer house?
