My apartment sucks. I was fool enough to sign another lease and I cant take it anymore. I'm on lease until 07.31.2007. I thought that I should just get another apartment while there are no evictions on my credit and save the extra money for other reasons. I'm paying 930 for a 1/1 studio like apartment. I can get a 2/2 for nearly a 100 dollars cheaper.

We have been trying to purchase a home for the last 5 months. We are being told by the seller's realtor that the seller's mortgage company is not responding to their repeated attempts to finish the closing deal. The seller's realtor is faxing the paperwork 2 times a day, calling and getting the run around, etc and getting nowhere with the company. Two weeks ago the mortgage company did respond and said they were missing a form from the realty company, which has now been completed and still no response. Are there possible reasons why this mortgage company is not responding? What do they have to gain by not following through with the sale?

I live in a town house and they have decided to sell the complex. That is not my problem though. They haven't cut the grass but twice this summer. When we moved in they had not washed the carpeting and they said that they would. They sealed my sliding glass doors in the basement and told me in case of fire throw the fire extinguisher through the glass to get out. the carpet is coming up at the front entrance. All things we have gone to the front desk about and complained... please advise. There are other things but these are my main concerns.

My aunt is buying a house. It's been on the market for about 3 or four months, that I know of. They applied and they have been negotiating back and forth with the realtor and the owner of the house. After months of waiting, the realtor told them to go over to the house and to sign some papers. It took hours to sign all those papers and weeks for them to get a loan but they managed and supposedly, the house was theirs. Now the realtor hasn't called them back since then and when they called her to ask what's going on, she said that someone else was looking at the house with a better offer. They can't afford to go any higher and they were approved with a loan to pay 100% of what they're asking for. They're trying to get out of a neighborhood that's been going downhill since the army base near by closed in 1993. Crimes (one murder and many home invasions) and sex predators have taken over their current neighborhood and they really want to move.

Is it legal what the realtor did?

Someone told me that if you're 55 yrs or older and been living in your 1st home for over 10 yrs. If you buy the 2nd home, your property tax rate is based on the old home and not the new selling price. Is this true? if yes, where can i find the information? This is regarding California real estate law.

I recently found a buyer for a condo I am selling, and it is now in contract. Then, I received a notice that there will be an increase in the condo fee in the near future.

Legally speaking, am I obligated to disclose this projected increase in condo fees, or is it for them to find out?
