I'm looking to get out of renting and found a home. Is there a website that I can tell it the price of the home and choose a type of mortgage and see what the payments would be? I was told by someone to get a 5 1 arm because I only plan on living here 3-4 more years before moving. The only sites I can find are for 30 and 40 year mortgages.

I told her 3 months ago that the windows don't close. She sent a guy to fix it one month ago, he said the house had shifted, no way to fix it. She called another window repair guy. They came over yesterday while I was out, without notice, and entered the house while no one was home. My rental agreement says she needs to give at least a phone call the day before unless it is an emergency. I don't think this is considered an emergency since she has known about the problem for 3 months. She also left a lease extension in the house, raising the rent and extending the lease another year, but the lease expired 7/1, and the agreement says she need to do that one month before the lease expires.

During the past 3 years,I have looked at several dozens homes for sale (probably over a 100) and a lot of these homes I consider "Used Homes" (just like a used car), but people are buying tem at NEW HOME prices. They are forcing the prices up.

These people must live on plastic cards and are in debt like crazy.

Title Specialist: Your answer was more in depth than the others I received. However, I got the impression that there had be monetary compensation paid to the unlicensed writer of a real estate contract for their action to be considered illegal. Correct or not? Thank you for your help. yougogirl

I own a home with a mortgage and own a piece of rental property that currently has a tenant. I net appx. 800 a month from the tenant. I could sell the rental property and pay off my first home's mortgage with the proceeds and live in my house for practically nothing. Is it better to have the rental income and the tax deduction from the interest on the mortgage I currently pay or is it better to have the piece of mind that my mortgage is paid off and I will be able to save additional $$ towards retirement, etc.

my landlord is keeping all of our security deposit bc we didn't provide a written notice we were vacating. our lease doesn't state we have to provide a notice unless we remained in occupancy past the lease date. they had our keys almost a week before the lease was even expired so i do not see how there is any way that they can keep this money. they are also stating we now owe them 700 extra which we were NEVER billed for and we have been out of the house since the end of may. what can i do about this besides hiring an attorney. we wouldn't get any money back after we paid a lawyer. please help me. oh... and the lease was for a house in memphis, tn. thanks!

I love the New England area. Where is a nice place to live that is not to far from everything, but also is not a big city or suburb. I guess a small city with good schools would be great.

If you decide to sell your home and you have financed it for 30-years, what steps do you need to take? Say you have just paid 9-years on it and you have decided to move, what do you need to do? How do you price it to at least make enough extra for a downpayment on another home? Any help will be appreciated..

Together my husband and I make $240,000/year. He's got excellent credit, I have above-average credit. What kind of loan do you think we could get approved for? What would that make our montly payments? Ballparks are obviously fine. Thank you.

My husband and I put an offer in on a VA owned home last night and we have been told the VA has up to 30 days to decide what offer they are going to accept. Does it really take 30 days? If you have bought a VA owned home, how long did the process take for you?
