To make a long story short, my bank made an error. I use their online bill pay to pay my utilities, and they paid Georgia Power twice. Now I'm short nearly $100. It took them 3 seconds to take the money out, yet they're telling me it's going to take 5 - 7 business days (possibly longer since Thanksgiving is this week and the banks are closed) to get my money back into my account. I've talked (via the phone) with reps from both GA Power and my bank, and neither of them say they can do anything to speed this process up. Does anyone know what I can do to get the money put back in my account faster? This is definitely a banking error--they admitted it.

Thanks

I have a 2002 Saturn that i have had financed for the past 5 years, I only have 8 more payments to make on this car but because of other obligations I can only send the finance company $100.00 a week which I do every week. I am only one month behind. The finance company has said I may have a problem with my loan. I have been making payments with this company for the last 5 years and although I have been late in the past I always get the account up to date. Now, with the holidays approaching I am late again can this company reposess my car even though I am sending them $100.00 a week. I pay $335.00 a month and I owe them about $450. Is it true that if I send them something every month they cant do anything any help on this matter will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there. I have no credit (well I have a secured credit card), anyway I need to get a car as mine is certainly about to break down for good. Normally I would prefer to save money and get a car, but due to other reasons my savings have been depleted and I am now resorted to buysing a car using credit.

My credit union would give me a loan without a co-signer, but i have none! So I went onto Lendingtree.com and one I got was citifinancial that offered me a personal loan (unsecured) up to $5000 but at 28% interest.
That is high, but my plan is to aggresively pay it off within 6 months, and I am strong willed enough to do so.
So should I get this loan or are there any other places that I can look for financing? Thank you

I have an old company pension and have decided to take a SMALL lump sum next year (WHILE I'M STILL YOUNG ENOUGH TO ENJOY IT) and was wondering if anyone knows roughly how long the process takes. I am hoping to have the funds by the end of next year.

I owe about 1300 on the credit cards and I feel like I'll get nowhere even if I drop a hundred every month on all three. The interest rate is too high maybe with a loan I can get 7-9?

Have any of you guys ever done this and if so do you recommend it. I actually have one card under consolidation and it sucks maybe I chose the wrong company The Achievable, but it they charge me 60 bucks a month along with they payments towards the cards. Any comments?

Please no freaken scammers you guys just need to burn in hell. Its bad enough getting scammed from the banks and credit card companies!!!

I need to save desperately as it is less than 6 weeks to christmas and my christmas holidays and i have no money saved cos I am always finding I owe someone, have to pay for avon, bought something to pay off, pay some board...

I do get paid really well and its still hard. After tax I get close to $1000AUD a week.

i pay my car off $100 a week $50 to my credit card, $75 to dad for board.

other expenses are my mobile (contract monthly) minimum $100.

i have to buy christmas presents, bday present for my boyfriend, car service for my car and I dont get paid for my holidays as I am a contractor.

How am I going to do it, I have a savings account that direct debits every week but then when I am short, I withdraw it online.

I need to save as much as I can for my 3 week holiday in one and a half months.

i also am very generous giving money to sisters/brother/dad etc and I wish I didnt.

budget sheets dont work

Help me please, what to do???? I cant help buying stuff!!!

I've been divorced for 1 1/2 years, our house remains on the market and I've paid most of the mortgage since then. It was 2 months behind then went in "reduced payment" for the past 3 months. The lender now wants the regular full payment plus installments on the overdue amount. At this point I must either stop paying my personal debts, all currently in perfect standing, including credit cards w/$30,000+ balance and $800 in minimums, or give up on the mortgage.

This may seem like a no-brainer ("avoid foreclosure") but then there is the matter of my ex having obligated herself in our divorce agreement to fully pay the mortgage in exchange for what she expected would be "full proceeds" on our home's sale. Obviously that backfired, but since my name is on the mortgage, I'm still on the hook. So, which way do I benefit most or suffer least? Give up on personal debts or let the mortgage go? I've already had a couple lenders extend courtesies to me after documenting that agreemen

I owe my college $40 before I can register for my Winter 2008 classes? I do have a job and will be $40 short after I pay my bills. If I ask my family for the money they will just yell, cuss or get a serious attitude and probably tell me "no!" Can you give me a way on coming up with $40.

I am already $130,000 in debt. I am still in medical school and federal student loans are running out, I don't have any one that can co-sign for a private loan and anyway, I am sure getting more in debt is not the way to go. I am 29 y/o and am full time student. I am worrying about my future constantly. I would like to invest but I don't have enough money to do so. And in the years I am in my only option of a job would be to start my own business but even that takes the time and money I don't have. What can I do? What should I do? I need an income to finish studying or I won't be able to do so. Can anyone advice me on what to do please?
