My phone is £35 a month, i was in a job and i was going to use my last wages to pay the bill. However my employer hasn't paid me and 2 direct debits have bounced. My bank has charged me a penalty for the last one bouncing at £38. my next bill is due in a few days so another £38 will be added to my negative balance to that. My account shouldn't be able to go into red as its a easycash debit card. I'm on state benefits till my next job(£45 a week). I won't however have any money for a few weeks time. How can i get out of this debt and how can my bank charge me £38 just for a bounced direct debit?

I live in Canada and it seams like there aren’t that many coupons available. Also I don’t care about brand names (except for ketchup it has to be Heinz.. Lol!) . I also like to eat healthy but we aren’t vegetarians so yes we eat meat, dairy, and don’t know how to lower our shopping bill. We want to start a family soon so there will obviously be more expenses with that. So, please help! How can I save money on our grocery bill????

Thank you so much!!

I have a decent income but am swamped with debt that I can't handle. I need a fresh start, but am unable to acquire a loan because of poor credit. The problem is mounting and I do not want to file bankruptcy. If I can get a personal loan of say $20,000 then I would be on my way to financial freedom.Tell me what do I do or where do I turn to for help? I need immediate relief! Help someone!!!Thank you!!

I am with Ulster Bank in Northern Ireland. Im currently studying in Scotland and so I called them and asked them to transfer all of the money in my current account into my student account.

The reason for this is that with my current account I only have a cash card which allows me to withdraw from an ATM but with my student account I have a Maestro card which I can do more with.

After I called them I realised they hadnt transfered the money yet so I just withdrew 500 from my current account to pay for my rent and buy some clothes and so on.

I got a letter this morning saying that I am overdrawn by £500 on my current account. I believe that what they did was transferred the amount that was in my current account at the time I called them into my student account, even though there was less than this when the transfer actually happened, which was the next day.

I didnt realise there was more in my student account and went ahead and spent this money on xmas presents and now...

My sister purchased a home in April 2007, she has relized that the mortgage plus bills and 3 boys is just too much. The house is under her name and our fathers should she just stop paying for the mortgage and wait to be forclosed or call the bank and see if they can work with her? Any feed back will be wonderful.
