It is a small amount of money under $4K, I need to pay off some debt to clear up some credit issues, so I can eventually buy a home next year. I will plan to re-open 401-k but since I will probably be leaving my job in the next few months, I'll just wait til then to re-start a retirement savings.

I am trying to understand if someone has an identity theft - would it show on their credit report?
Or if this person is saying that they have an identity theft - how can they prove it is true - are there any papers or receipts one gets when they report an id theft?
Thank you in advance!

I saw the infomercial last night, and it looks like more of the same hogwash as in his "Natural Cures" books. He asserts a grand conspiracy by 'the system', then claims to have secret knowledge of the way to buck 'the system'. He'll probably also reference a fee-based website in his book to get the real answers.

Is it a good idea?

I just sold my home, and over the next year, I'm going to work on fixing my credit. (no mortgage or rent-living with family) How do these type places really help you increase your credit score while paying off debt? How much do they cost, cause I know they're not doing it for free.

I am seventeen and need to open a checking account for my job. I'm working for Avon and it's the best and more efficient way for me to transfer money and make payments if I write my own checks and deposit other people's to my account.
I know I'm allowed to have a savings account. If push comes to shove, I'll just stick with that, but I'd like to be able to open a checking account.

Thanks to everyone!

I purchased a 97 escort in the year 2000 for $10,000. placed on 5 yr payment plan of $243.00 per mo. At the end of my 5 yr period in the year 2005. I contacted Arcadia to ask them to send me the title because I thought the car was paid off. Come to find out, my account was no longer through arcadia, it was through citi bank now. THey informed me that I still owed around $3600.00 for the car, I told them that was impossible and asked them to send me an itemized list of all my payments towards my car. They sent it, & when I added up all the payments I had made in the last 5 years, it all added up to a shocking $18,000. that's $8,000 more than what I purchased the car for. and yet they still want more money from me. they claimed it's interest and late fees I owe. I told them 2 years ago that i will not pay them another dime & if they want they can come get the car, they never came for the car. and I have not heard from them since. so i want to know if i can file for a lost title.

Am I able to get a Banker's Draft in US Dollars from my local bank here in the UK? If not, do postal orders come in US Dollars?

Serious answers only please.

Does anyone know of a free online paid job or a website that will help generate some sort of money or if you live in Las Vegas maybe you know of some odd job I could do?
