So many times what we "want" is not going to coincide with what can happen in reality. If you don't have good credit, there is a good chance it is because you have made contractual agreements to borrow money in the past (credit cards, loans, etc) without holding up your end of the bargain (making the payments as agreed). So why would a bank take a chance on you now? You have to be the one to show that you are trustworthy, rather than expecting others to simply trust you.

Pay off the accounts that have caused you to have bad credit. This will show that you may have made bad judgements in the past, but that you ultimately followed through on your obligations. Then save up some money for a down payment or a savings-secured loan to start rebuilding your credit.

I'm sorry if this seems blunt, but it is the best way to start cleaning up your credit and proving to future lenders that you are indeed trustworthy.

First evaluate whether you need a loan or want a loan. If you want a loan but the need is not there, don't get a loan. If you don't have good credit you won't get a good loan, so work on your credit first. Start by saving part of your pay, the part you would be using to pay off the loan you want. When you have saved up as much as you want to borrow, then you can arrange for a small loan, pay it off on time, and develop a good credit rating.

I can't recall the name of the business but I do see advertisements on tv now and then (I dont watch it often so the name I wouldnt recall) that claim to provide loans regardless of credit. Perhaps if you ask around someone has seen it too??? You can also call around to different banks but that may turn into a hassle.

If banks don't work and you need a large sum, try people you know. If its to much for them, find two lenders, or more. Sometimes it helps to split it so one doesn't feel like its to much. When I've been asked to loan larger amounts, I've offered to loan half then they only have to find someone to loan them half the same. It may work for you.....

Now an easy way to build some credit so you have a bit, is to get like a Sears card (department store if your unfamiliar). Buy small things like a radio, small tv and another items. Pay them off in ADVANCE. This will establish credit once 3 items are paid for.

To really get going, use a credit card and keep it paid off in advance so when your bill balance comes it always says 0. This will boost it alot. Have a credit person explain it better, I'm afraid I'm not to good with it myself.....

If you can't buy it without a loan, you can't afford it. PERIOD. If you WANT the loan to pay someone you already owe, you HAVE a loan from that person.

Banks only loan to people that have money, dont need it, and people that pay their bills. Maybe you could ask the good people at Prosper.com to give you a loan though.
