This reminds me of a line from the movie Forest Gump...
"Are you stupid or something?"
Lottery scams are the most widespread scams on the net. If you send them any money, you will never see a prize or your money again. D'oh!

This is a scam. Ask yourself, did I play the London Lottery?
No legitimate lottery is going to notify you by e-mail nor ask you to pay taxes/fees before you receive your winnings.
Lottery offices only draw the numbers. They have no idea who actually won until the holder turns in the winning ticket. And taxes are withheld from your winnings.
Besides, international lotteries are illegal.

Do people never learn?
Sounds harsh, but I sometimes feel that these scam artists are doing society a favour by meeting out the due consequences of stupidity to those that exhibit the negative character attribute of stupidity in the same way as the courts punish the careless, the violent and the dishonest.

This is a scam. So you believe that someone is going to give you a prize from a lottery you never entered ? If it is genuine why don't they just deduct US$ 950 from your prize? Forget it. You are not going to get rich on this occasion.

This is a very well known SCAM.
"Matthew" (not his real name) is probably sitting in an internet cafe in West Africa. He probably sends out thousands of these emails a day.
Just delete it and ignore him.
