i was on a two year family shared fair and flexible plan with my mom. it was under my name and then she decided (after a year) that she didn't want to be on my plan anymore. we canceled her phone from my plan, and i tried to keep mine, but they didn't have that plan offered anymore.

now when i go to check my balance, they say i owe a $200 cancelation fee, but i think that's unfair since i'm still on sprint, but with a different plan (which wasn't my choice).

what do i do?!

In 2002 I lost my wallet and told the bank 2 days later...someone during this time put 2 cheques into my account (for approx £5,500 each) and then withdrew the money the following morning before the cheques had cleared and before the banks had opened. I have been paying £10.00 for the past few years but am still very bitter at this. Am I responsible to pay all this money back? Does anyone know what rights I have?

what happens if a debt collector stops sending you letters. How do i know if the debt is now invalid? I ask for a validation of debt and they never sent it to me and now they don't send me anything at all. How do i know they won't come back in 4 years? How can I stop them from haunting me in 4 years if they refuse to answer my letters now.

I have debts that equal about $3000 or so when all said and done. I have an oppurtunity to move to AZ with the rest of my family. I cannot just up and leave my job without getting one already in AZ, and I cannot afford to travel to AZ just for an interview and risk not even getting the job. I have bad credit (560 or something), no money saved up (paycheck to paycheck), no relatives able to help me out, only make $10/hr, have a car that I owe more on than its worth (no one will buy it off me), and need to make a move soon.
What can I do? Bankruptcy has been suggested, but do I even have enough debt to be considered? I have no way of paying things off anytime soon, but I need to move. Any advice, opinions, whatever? I do not know anything except that bankruptcy stays on your cred report for 10 years, that I will lose my vehicle (which is fine if I can be able to purchase one once in AZ), and that it will wipe my credit clean except for the bankruptcy itself. Help???

A roll of regular toilet paper has 197 sheets per roll if you buy a 12 roll pack for $4.00 - $6.00 depending on the brand. You are only buying 2364 sheets of tp. A roll of regular scott tp has 1000 sheets and 4 pack has 4000 sheets and is only about $2.50 to $3.00 depending on your area. A 12 pack roll of scott is 12000 sheets for only about 7.00 bucks as compared to a 24 pack regular roll of say charmin which is about 8.00 bucks a pack and you only get 4728 sheets of tp.
so 12000 sheets 12 pack roll of scott for 7.00 bucks
or 4728 sheets 24 pack roll of charmin for 8.00 bucks.
Which do you think is the better deal?

I don't want something to do online banking or track my credit card. Just a neat utility that helps a person keep their money life straight.

The company I have my car loan through calls me at work if I'm more than 5 days late on my payment. I've repeatedly asked them to call me at home and not to call me at work. They called me again today and the rep even told me that she saw that they were not supposed to contact me at work then asked me if I'd talk with her anyway!!! I work in the media/advertising field and do not have the time to take personal calls on the job. I'm afraid they are going to cause me to lose my job.

I live with two other people. We just got DSL installed in our apartment. The monthly fee is 36 bucks which we split three ways. But we just got the bill that included a 120 dollar fee for the modem. My roomate wants me to pay a third for it but heres the thing...Im moving out in December and obviously wont get to use the modem anymore. I understand I need to use the modem to access the internet but I only have access to it for two months so I dont think I should pay for a third of it. Its not like when I move out Im gonna take a third of the modem with me.

Kim and Dan Bergholt are both government workers. They are considering purchasing a home in the Washington D.C. area for about $280,000. They estimate monthly expenses for utilities at $220, maintenance at $100, property taxes at $380, and home insurance payments at $50. Their only debt consists of car loans requiring a monthly payment of $350.

Kim's gross income is $55,000/year and Dan's is $38,000/year. They have saved about $60,000 in a money market fund on which they earned $5,840 last year. They plan to use most of this for a 20% down payment and closing costs. A lender is offering 30-year variable rate loans with an initial interest rate of 8% given a 20% down payment and closing costs equal to $1,000 plus 3 points.

Before making a purchase offer and applying for this loan, they would like to have some idea whether they might qualify.

Estimate the affordable mortgage and the affordable purchase price for the Bergholts.
Suppose they do qualify; what other factors might they consider before purchasing and taking out a home mortgage?
What future changes might present problems for the Bergholts?

I am working on a case study. I am given financial information, including a balance sheet and cash flow statement, on a couple. One of the questions is "What is the PITI percentage?" I can't seem to find what this stands for in my book; therefore, of course I can't even calculate it. Thanks for your help!!!

I am thinking about moving overseas to Europe in the next 3 months and will not be returning the near future, and am wondering how that affects my 401K here in the US? Can I withdraw all the money or am I going to lose a lot of it to taxes and my employer due to their contributions? I also have a loan out on it with a while to go on it before it's paid off! What are my options? Sensible answers please. Thanks!

I had posted an item on Craigslist for $400. I got an email from a man saying he wanted to buy it...he had told me he was going to send me a check for $1500 to cover shipping costs, then send him the leftover money....well I got the check and put it into my bank account...8 days later the check was taken out of my account because it was fake...but the bank did'nt say it was fake, but the guy sent me a fake check to basically rob me, Im just glad I didn't send him the ring, but I have and address the guy gave me can't I call the cops? And should the bank be at fault for this considering they didn't do any tests on it and just took it , and didn't even give me any notice they took it out??

ok well my aunt want to sell me her house for $25.000 and its a real fixer upper! its totally trashed. i am 21 yrs old i just got fired, but i will have another job soon. so i would need about $50.000 all together for the house it self, and the money to fix it up. i have no credit at all. never had a credit card or anything like that. i was also thinking about having a realtor, come and look at the house to see how much it would really cost. i know its way less then what she offered. mabye like $15.000 or so... she also mentioned a (rent to own) deal. but i really need the money to fix it up.
so do you think i would be eligible for a loan? whats the best way i could for sure get one? i have a boyfriend also.. he would be with me all the way.

I am currently in a Ch. 13 bankruptcy. I have a checking account with my husband but we are going through a divorce and I need to separate our finances. One of the debts listed in our bankruptcy was a checking account that got in the red. I am sure it was reported to ChexSystems, but we included it in our bankruptcy. Is there any hope for me??
