put it in a sealed piggy bank ( only opens if you break it), that way only if you are really desperate for cash you open it.
If you use this method, might be wise to calculate how much money you will need to get by until you get paid again and keep that amount on you. hope that helps

The best way to save money and not spend it is to make a list of your 'needs' and 'wants'. Just because you want something doesn't mean you 'have' to have it. You just want it. You don't need it.

Needs are truly the basic things that we 'need' to survive and get along in life. Try to remember what your 'needs' are.

If you want your money to grow, you have to 'invest' it in something that has interest or growth potential. At your age, I would advise that you ask your parents about helping you buy saving bonds. There are lots of different types of them that have different benefits, so you'll need some help making that decision. Saving bonds are not anything hip but they will guarantee that your money grows over time. Investing in stocks is risky, especially in a seemingly down turned economy. (some economists think we are on the verge of a bear market)

You can also save money by buying generic brands when you can and staying healthy. Eat right, exercise often, and keep your emotions in check. Create as little stress for yourself as possible, as that really causes havoc on your immunity.
Smile a lot, laugh often, and spend time with the people in your life that help you the most.

Hope this helps!

When you get paid or receive money give it to someone you trust to hold on to... only someone you really trust that won't spend it too. Or get a savings account and deposit there, use a bank that is out of your way, This way it's harder just to stop and with drawl money. Too with savings you can't just write checks or use a debit card all the time.

I have a savings account and I have an automatic transfer set up from my main bank account after each pay day. Then I can't touch it!

1. WRITE a budget on the first of EVERY month.
2. Place CASH in an envelope labeled with the name of each category in the budget.
3. When an envelope is empty, you can't spend any more on that category.
4. If SELF-DISCIPLINE won't work, NOTHING will.
