That the FED can take tax payer money and help replenish all the banks , lending agencies, and credit card companies to keep them in bussiness, while at the same time all them agencies are watching everyone loose their homes, and everything they worked hard for, and end up with destroyed credit histories? and the Fed has even offered to help foreign country Financial institutions in the same fashion, and yet it offers no help to the American Tax payers who are loosing everything. and mind you now! it's all tax payer money that they're doing this with. IS IT FAIR??

Okay.

1. I printed a credit report yesturday.
2. Theres a credit card opened .. it says it was opened on Feb. of 2000 (over 7 years ago)
3. I HAVE NEVER HAD A CREDIT CARD.
4. I HAVE NEVER APPLIED FOR A CREDIT CARD.

I've tried to contact Capitol One but it always says
"please enter your 16 digit credit card number"

Well, i dont have that number .. it doesnt state that number on my credit report.

How do i get ahold of capitol one without entering a credit card number?

Any other info would be great, thank you.

How much money do you have to be making to be considered low income? What about high income? I can't find this anywhere so any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking of opening a joint checking account with my husband, who has a good job and a great credit score. I haven't worked in 3 years (been a stay-at-home mom) and my credit score is poor-fair. I haven't had any banking in my name since I stopped working (never planned it like that, we've just moved alot and didn't make time to opena new joint). Also, about 5 years ago, I bounced 2 checks from my personal account. I'm wondering if anyone who works in banking could tell me if I am still eligible to join my husband on a joint account even though I have this history of 2 bounced checks, a less-than-perfect credit score (which I'm working on), no banking in the last 3 years, and am not currently working? Or should he just add me to his existing account? Thanks so much! I dont want to be embarassed by going into a branch office and being denied

Evidently my wife didn't tell a city she was moving in that she moved 14 years ago. They say she owed city vehicle taxes. Now, the city hired a collection agency to try to get the debt and interest on it. We heard nothing about this for the past 14 years. Had no idea there was outstanding debt because nobody contacted us. Upon hearing about this, we paid the principal, but we are questioning the finance charges. The finance charges are three times what the principal was. Had they contacted us 12, 10, 8, even 5 years ago, the finance charges wouldn't have been as much. Would it be worthwhile to take this to a lawyer or should I just pay it. Don't want it to negatively impact our credit rating, but it seems like they waited too long to contact us and let the finance charges inflate. Total about is under $700. Could a lawyer help or would it even be worth it?

I can't bear to put it back into my savings account because I am really mad. His wife wouldn't let him buy it. Bad wifey! BAD!

Hi i am 16 and have just opened my first bank account, the problem is i am disabled and the other day i went to get some money out at the hole in the wall cashline machine and i had my nanna with me and i gave her my card to put in for me and i told her to turn away while i put my number in but today she told me that she seen what numbers i put in and she knows my pin number. I wouldnt normally use the machine but it was really busy inside so i used it for quickness. I want to change my pin number but i dont know how i can get to the bank to do it without my mum or nanna knowing, if my mum finds out that she knows my pin number she will go mad.
