I'm sure $5 an hour is good..that is almost minimum wage.

I used to make 50cents an hour per kid and watch 4 of the worst kids ever.

It depends. Is this in the evening? Or is it during the day? Are you picking them up from school?

Evening babysitting is usually charged by the hour. Daytime is normally by the day. Rates will be different for different areas. It's been so long since I either charged or paid for babysitting that I don't know what the going rate is.

Depends on if you are going to their home or if they are coming to yours. Also how much experience do you have? Are you certified in CPR??

If you are babysitting at their house they will be more easily entertained. I would charge $9 an hour. If you are watching them at your house and have to feed them, entertain them, ect. then I would charge $12 an hour.

I would ask for a three month supply of Valium. It shouldn't take you longer then that to recover.
