i am a single mother and have been been on welfare/disability. Because i have a set income of 800 dollars a month I have gotten into over 20,000 dollars of debt on my credit cards just paying bills over the last 10 years. Now im maxed out and i cant pay the min anymore. I am unable to work due to my disability, so I am stuck with a set income which barely covers rent and utilities. Should I declare bankruptsy? im afraid if i call and debt helper, I still wont be able to pay the min. I got to a point where I was paying my min by taking cash out on my card. what should i do? dont tell me to cut up the card, its already been maxed and I cant use it. What will happen to me when the payments stop? Should I declare bankruptsy? can I?

My dad is a computer engineer, and his salary is $110, 000. Is that a lot of money? I don't really know what is a lot and what is a little because my parents never gave me an allowence (i'm not spoiled at all) But i'm just trying to learn.

Also do you think we can afford a house which is half a million dollars...or more even?

thank you!

Which companies actually offer that? What about Credit Consolidation? What do you guys advice me to do? What about the NFCC? Thanks!

I'm 18 years old, and I'm going to be living in a dorm at college. So far my parents will be paying for everything pretty much. For sophomore year, I would like to move in to an apartment. I have a job, but I only work part time and its not nearly enough money to pay rent. What steps can I take to become financially independent?

This is the 1st electricity bill I have & I didn't know that it takes up more energy to turn the air on & off manually. & my brother always told me to keep the air on 70 degrees. & my case manager chewed me out, telling me that that's the consequences I have to suffer & that I MUST pay the bill in full. The electric company said I used up 400 KW & $122. But the bill said the 400 KW costed $43. I don't get it.

How will co-signing for a car affect my ability to finance my own car or get a mortgage? I have good (but not excellent) credit now.

It'd be a $5500 loan for my mom's car.

My husband I got married a year ago and we had to pay for our wedding ourselves along with our honey moon. We ended up in a great deal of credit card debt from this as well as trying to furnish a home. We have a personal loan for 19,000 that we are paying off along with about 10,000 in credit card debt. We can pay the bills but we can only pay the minimum payments which are leaving us broke every month. I want to do something about this before we end up not being able to pay these bills. Any suggestions?
