Yes, close it out. Get one without fees. Or better yet, call the credit card company and tell them you are closing it out unless they waive the fees.

There are plenty of credit cards out there that do not charge annual or monthly fees. If you do indeed have a 0 balance, close it and get a card with no fees. You could even call the card company and tell them your situation, they may change your program or waive the fees. As far as looking good, credit used to available credit is looked at the most, so keep that in mind when determing how many cards and available credit you should have.

It looks like what you have is one of those poor credit cards that probably charge a heap in interest too! Pay the bill and you should be able to cancel it at any time with no penalty.

Banks have turned into parasites with schemes like this. Tell them that you want your card to be no fee or you will get another bank's card. Then if they don't agree, do it.
It does not hurt your credit rating since you do not have a balance on it anyway.

You should definetly close that card. There are millions of cards out there that don't charge any fee at all. You don't deserve to be ripped off.
