We have about 1200 in cc debt, 10000 in personal debt, 10000 in car debt and we'd like to fix up our house needing about 10k. Should we wait on the house or should we consolidate the debt and improve the value of our home? We also want to have another baby which would add to our expenses...

For starters, I live with my parents I only have a savings account and I don't pay bills or any insurances.
Right now I have 900 in my savings account, but tomorrow I get paid 250$ paycheck so I will have 1150$ I was thinking about taking a 1000$ CD for a year with a percent of 3.8%. Exactly what does this mean, and how much money will I make after the year is up?
thanks

just a quick question. if you dont have the $ in your checking acc. and you use your debit card @ a gas pump. will the pump shut off if youve used all the $ in your account or will it keep going and consider it something of a bounced check? little nervous here, just dont wanna be paying outrageous bounced check fees..

Please bear with me, this is a little bit complicated. Two days ago I applied for an online special....open a free checking account AND a savings and get 4.79% interest on the savings account. I decided to put $50 in checking, and $50 in the savings using my debit card from my existing bank. Once finished with the application, the bank denied me (I suspect for a low credit score...they said they'd mail me a reason later based on the fair credit reporting act)...BUT they charged my account anyway...and double drafted me for each $50 taking a total of 200$ from my account. This caused an overdraft which they pulled from my savings and charged me $10 for that transaction. Needless to say I am livid. SO, I call my bank, they will not stop the charges without me trying to resolve it with the other bank first. So I call them, and they promise to have someone in authority of that department call me back within 24 hr, no call. So I call them, they promise to call back, no call. What to do?

If the retirement age is, say 65 (not sure if that's accurate, just throwing it out there), can I retire earlier than that? Am I penalized? Does it depend on years of service to determine if you can retire early? I'm just asking because a lot of people at my work are retiring and it doesn't seem like they are old enough to be the legal retirement age. Thanks.
