Most ATMs don't charge a fee to check your balance. Many banks charge for a statement regardless of who owns the ATM. There is no standard answer regarding the amount of fees. Your bank can tell you any fees they charge. The ATM should disclose any fees charged by the ATM.

If you use an ATM other than your bank's, you will likely be charged for any kind of transaction -- balance check, statement, withdrawl. Charge will vary depending on the ATM system -- $1 to $3.

Sometimes your bank will also charge you for certain transactions on an out of network ATM. Watch out for ATMs at convenience stores. You might get hit with a fee from your bank and the ATM.

Never heard of that if it is your bank's ATM. I know if my bank did that to me next day I'd be changing banks.
But yes if you are using another bank's ATM that bank will likely charge you for getting statement from your bank.
