doesnt this have to start effecting the indexes on a consistent basis?

by ignoring obviously i mean that they are not reacting appropriately considering the fact that the housing crisis is worsening with no signs of getting better, subprime lending is a big issue in this country but i suppose you are content in ignoring it as well, have fun

There is not much of a housing market situation. Speculators try to create a perception that there is, and use to swing the market - its their best way to make money.

You seriously believe Wall St. is ignoring the housing market?

I suggest you pick up a newspaper and review the share prices of mortgage companies, banks, real estate investment trusts, and housing construction companies, as well as bond funds that own mortgage-backed securities. You will discover that Wall St. is not ignoring the housing market.

Wall Street is not and never has ignored ANYTHING. The market simply acknowledges that the MEDIA hysteria is NOT an accurate reflection of anything.
