About three weeks ago I helped a very friendly gentleman in Benin. He had lost a relative and needed a co-signer to gain some capital invested in a local bank. To make a long story short, I wired $2300.00 to him and have not heard from him since. I was supposed to recieve a lump sum of cash (Lets just say, a good return) What can I do? What is the longest you have waited to hear anything back? Can the local police here in Ohio get my money back?

Thanks

I need to earn about 100 dollars in 3 weeks. I have a 4.0 GPA so tutoring would be a good option. Please no babysitting, because I'm not good with babies at all. I'm really strong and I can lift heavy things. I'm also really good with animals, especially dogs. I did some dog sitting for a friend for 4 weeks and I got 190 dollars, but half of it went to my sister and I spent 15 of it.

Given the following;
"Dividends of 7,000 were declared & paid during the year. New plant assets were purchased for 195,000. Also, land was purchased for cash. Plant assets were sold for 25,000 cash. Additional stock was issued for cash, and a porition of the bank loan was repaid."

Now I understand the concept, i'm just in the grey as far as adjusting each under the right business activity.

My question is would the following be the appropriate way of placing these adjustments? Thanks.

Dividends of 7,000 = -7000 cash under Financing

New Plant Assets purch. 195,000 = -195,000 cash Investing

Land purchased ( look at Balance sheet, find difference between year 06-07 which = 80,000) = -80,000 cash investment

Plant assests sold for 25,000 cash = +25,000 cash investing or is this just operating/cash?

Addtl stock (B/S sheet) Common stock, +150,000 Financing

Bank loan repaid (B/S Sheet) -30,000 Financing

Here's the situation. I have 2 credit cards with pretty large balances. Neither is maxed out, but the balances are high. I've never missed or been late on a payment for either. But I want to save for a house. I know that paying down the balances would boost my credit score, which I need. But I'm afraid to use the money on the cards and not have enough of a downpayment for a home in 2009. I've been going over this question for weeks. I don't know which to do. I'm fully aware of the benefits of both, it's choosing a course of action that is boggling me.

My wife and I have approx. $9,000 in credit card debt - $7,500 on one card thats 14% interest and the rest on a card thats 18% interest. We have an online money market savings account that yeilds 4.75% - My question is should I be paying every dollar towards paying down the debt or should I be putting money into our savings - we want to buy a house in the next year or so. finance articles always say to pay yourself first... but I'm torn. Any thoughts?

http://www.aboutus.org/SpeedyBadCreditLoans.com

I recently joined CCCS and I thought it would help my debt situation; however, its made it worse. They never told me that my credit union didn't accept their proposal so I am now 2 months behind in payments with them, and then they also "forgot" to debit my bank account for last months payment, so I am 1 month behind with all of my other creditors. I want a loan for about 28k to consolidate everything and make 1 monthly payment . Due to my debt to income ratio and now my 60 day past due status, my credit has to be awful and without a cosigner I cannot get approval. Short of asking my best friend (which I really do not want to do because thats a recipe for disaster) to cosign, what can I do? This link asks me to pay $40 for "100% guranteed approval" but I am 99.9% sure its a scam right?
