If I file for Chapter 7 pro se and i own a 2006 honda valued at 18,000 will they make me sell my car?

If I file for Chapter 7 pro se and i own a 2006 honda valued at 16,000 will they make me sell my car. I want to let my house (mortgage) go, but I want to keep the car since its paid for.

If the car is paid for and there is no debt owed on the car then you will not have to sell it.... I belive if you file 13 you can consolidate all your debt into a weekly payment that will draw out of your check and you could keep your home as well.

Bankruptcy laws have changed. You really need a lawyer who specializes in bankruptcy. This is not a do it yourself task.
