My mom says i only have to rasie half of the money. I work part time at my parents restarant but don't get paid. We have a maid so i can't do chores. And we have a gardener. I do care about money and i understand the value of it. I understand i am blessed. I use to be poor. Ok don't be telling me i don't understand. If 1,300 is too much for a purebreed dog that has had all its shoots and comes with everything it needs then i am going to adopt a dog but i still have to pay for all of the adoption. I have had a hamster and i was a very responsable girl it lived a long and happy life!!!! I earn everything i get.

Dog's cost about $50 a month to maintain with food, toys and treats.

they cost about $500 a year for shots and regular vet visits.

I don't know how old you are, but you could go get a job if you are over 16. If you are under 16, you could go mow people's yards, get a paper route or offer to babysit. You just have to knock on doors and see if people need your help.

I'm glad you decided to adopt a dog. they sure do appreciate it. Good luck to you. It sounds like you're going to be a great owner.

I would challenge your assumption that a toy poodle is perfect for your home. Poodles require a lot of attention, and small dogs tend to be noisy. Before buying a dog I suggest you borrow a couple of books from the library and/or research breeds on the internet. You can find out how much space, attention, grooming, etc. each dog breed needs. I'll agree with the other responders and suggest you be a hero and save a dog from the pound for a lot less money. I also strongly suggest adopting a mixed breed dog, as they tend to have fewer behavioral/medical issues as the pure breeds. Medium-sized, mixed-breed dogs are the best (in my opinion)

I adopted a poodle from my local pet shelter and it was only $75.00. Check with your local pet shelter or you can do a Free search for poodles up for adoption in your area at

To raise money, go through your personal possessions and find things you no longer want. Ask your parents to do the same thing. Then ask your parents to help you sell the items by having a yard sale, or on Ebay.

I need to rasie money for a dog?

After reading this far, I was prepared to tell you you can't afford to OWN a dog.

After reading the rest of your question, you have no clue what money is. Until you learn that, don't take responsibility for any living thing.

$1,300??!?!?!?!?! You're kidding right?

Why don't you shop around for a local breeder or source? You should be able to find what you are looking for for a few hundred bucks!
