I'm a student and currently not working. I've exceed my balance limit on my phone (including past due). I've already paid $100 and still have about $100 to pay . My parents won't give me more money. I know my service will be suspended if I don't pay in the next 2 days. What should I do? Your suggestion and/or help would be appreciated.

I am a disabled person on a fixed income and just thought it would be nice to have some wants taken care for a change. Don't get me wrong, I am very thankful for all I have including my wife and two teenage boys. I just Thought it would be nice to, if when one of them said, "that would be nice to have or lets go there some day," to be able to say, ok go pack. Again I'm not complaining, We are doing Ok but, things could be easier. Just needed to talk tonight I guess. Thanks for listening.l

Anyone want to donate to a college student? I have a paypal account. I don't have cancer, my parents aren't dead, and I have no life threatening disease story to make you all feel pitty....I just work round the clock and I'm trying to balance school and applying to law school with trying to put in more hours to cover costs for applications, food and bills... . I know the odds of anyone sending me money are VERY slim to none but I thought I would try it nonetheless. I won't spend it on alcohol (unless requested, cause i do need a break)

My paypal address is youdontgetityet2yahoo.com Maybe I'll get lucky and someone out there who makes more money than I do (Who doesn't?) will decide that there extra cash could be more useful going to this college kid who is BROKE!

Thanks Everyone..

I am almost completely out of debt. The only way that happen, i moved back home with mom for almost 2 years. Only paid 150.00 for rent and the rest of the money went to pay off bills. I moved out in march and I am drowning again. Thankfully I am not completely under water yet. But, if I continue in my way i will be soon. I am a single mom with 4 kids, working 2 jobs and going to school. I make more than enough money to pay my bills on time but some where I am not adding things up right. maybe I forgot to move the decimal or something hahaha anyway is there any place i can go or someone I can take all my info to so they can put me on a budget. for free if possible. thank you very much

Hi

I have 2 credit cards. 1 with WellsFargo with 3000 limit and have 1700 debt and USBANK with 4000 limit with 2500 debt. I am a new graduate landed with a descent job. I was wondering if pay off both of my cc debts would be better or pay until both cards are below 30% of card utilization?

Confirmed that I won't reach the age of 60. Want to free up as much $$ as possible so I can live NOW! I own my home ($20K equity). The $20K debt on credit cards is at the limit of my budget - but the rates are low (< 4%). If I cash in my 401K, this will free up my income and I will be on a cash-only basis - no more credit cards! The only upcoming major expense is a car payment that I will need to do in 1-2 years. I will still keep a $401K, but I will start at $0 again - my company has a good "matching" program. If I cash in my $44K 401K, that will give me the $20K to pay off these bills now - or I can leave it to grow and for my kids to use it to pay off my debts after I'm dead...Should I cash it in NOW?

We (family of 3) have decided to settle in US after being here for 3 years. Before coming here, I bought a flat, took home loan for 600,000 Rs. Parents live in the flat, so selling it is out of question. I have to keep paying off 6000 Rs. per month for next 20 or more years. I have @ 10K $ saved till now and have a target to save 20K $/year hereon. 'Personal finance mantra' says (recently started reading on PF), first pay off debt, then start saving. Should I try to pay off the loan by balloon payment, as much as I could, since its not helping me for tax any more? Or should I save money, invest it in US?
