im 16 years old and i just started working i get paid bi weekly does that mean i get paid for 1 week or two weeks ex.1st week i get 30 hrs and 2nd week i get 30 hrs will i get paid for 60 hrs or 30?

you will get paid every other week (every two weeks)
so if you work 30 hours a week, each paycheck will be 60 hrs.

except on your first paycheck - it will be however many hours you works for that period. then you'll be on schedule.

Bi-weekly means your check covers 2 weeks. In most cases, the check comes 1 week after the end of the period it covers. For example I was paid Aug 10, 2007. That check covers hours worked form July 23 to Aug 5, 2007. depending on where in the pay cycle you started, your first check may cover 1 or 2 weeks. Also remember that taxes will be withheld from your check. At minimum 7.65% will be withheld for Social Security and Medicare taxes. Federal and State income taxes will most likely be withheld as well.

You get paid every two weeks. You probably won't get pay until the second pay period after you had started. You'll have 26 paydays per year. In two months of the year you'll be paid three times.

you'll get paid for the 60 hours.... just dont be shocked by the amt of taxes that are taken out by the govt!
