If you have a savings account at a bank, some of them have a machine there that you can use for free. Mine does.

you can go to your local bank and they'll give you coin rollers to organize them and you'll get back dollar bills if you want.
also go to laundromats, if you have lots of quarters, too.
go to grocery stores, at the cash register, and make your purchases with that change, not just coinstar machines to get paper money back.
and.....of course, the obvious answer is: it's ok to pay with change[coins]- it is still cash money, after all.
we all have had to do it at one tine or other- don't feel embarrased about it;at least you're paying for what you want, and not stealing.
money is money!

You can definately pay with change. Just don't try to do it when there is a long line at the check out. You can go to a bank or you can just put part of it in a piggy bank!

Any bank will accept coins. I actually bought lunch a McDonald's Friday and paid in quarters. The cashier didn't even act surprised.

well if it's only $12 and most of it is in silver, then just pay with it If you have most of it in pennies and nickles you might try your local bank, if you have an account.
