I am the only person working, my husband is disabled. Each month we pay out 500 a month, and will have to pay in june of 08 an extra 300 a month. My question is if i got another lawyer would they be able to lower our payments or should we just discharge. thanks

Bankruptcy laws changed awhile back and discharge is often not an option .
What were you told when you filed ?
Was your husband disabled then or is this a status change since the settlement ?
Repayments are set by the court after evaluating your situation .
If your situation has changed your lawyer may be able to file for new payment amounts but only they know . . . ask them .

You can contact the TRUSTEE directly and ask for a adjustment or relief (change the repayment structure) only if your finances have changed since the bankruptcy. same as you can "BUY OUT" your bankruptcy - means pay it off if you come across some lumps sums of cash.
