My debt is as follows:
Student Loans: approximately 25k
Credit Card : 5,500
Car Loan: 8k

I am about to enter my 3rd year in my first "real job" after college- and i think its time to get ahold of my finances. I am no longer taking loans (obviously) or using my credit card.. and my each religiously monthly.

But.. ive heard about debt consolidation loans and im confused:

1. do they lower your monthly payment?
2. Do they negatively affect your credit?

If someone could explain what they are, if theyd be good for me, pros and cons etc id really appreciate it!

thanks!

So what happened was, we got this "awsome deal" for a brand new car @ 0% we drove the car home last night, and just now he called as saying, we need to go back there because we were not quite approved it didn't go trough...yada, yada, yada, and he wants us to sign a new form with the new interest rate @ 3.4!!!????
Can they do that, because I'm really upset and don't even want the car anymore!

Why would a credit card company send me a credit card with a $500 limit when they can see on my credit report that I filed and received a discharge for a chapter 7 bankruptcy?

I know for a fact that my mail doesnt arrive at all or in this case very late. Talk about snail mail. I've called the office etc..They need more help thats for sure. I'm on the upper #'s to receive my mail for the day;so if it's after the bank closes or it's a weekend-forget about it. Also, if your package is too big or you need to sign for something ,.you wont know about it until after hours, so you wait again. And if you work until 4or 5pm your screwed again. Can you tell I'm a little fed up? Any suggestions/

When I opened my business and DBA, I am now constantly getting flooded with new offers to open more credit line. How do I stop this? I have already tried to remove my name from the credit bureaus, but how do I also remove my business name as well? I don't like the idea of new credit card offers being sent out and anyone can easily get a hold of it and commit identity fraud.
