What does it mean when a credit card company left a comment saying "Credit line closed-grantor request-reported by subscriber"

The first poster is incorrect.
It means that it is reporting as being closed by the creditor and not closed by you.

The notation of being closed by the creditor will have no impact on your scores. (though the account closure itself may have a negative impact on your scores)
It may not have much of an impact on any future credit requests. If your credit application is manually reviewed by an underwriter, the underwriter may "possibly" be concerned as to why the creditor would have closed the account.

If the account was closed due to inactivity on the account, you might contact the creditor and request that it be reopened, if you want to that is.
If they will reopen it, you should use it at least once ever 4-6 months. Even if it is for something cheap (a couple dollars) it will show usage.
Then pay in full when you get the statement.

It means that you closed the account by your own choice. Good job saying no to debt!
