Your concern is getting the credit card payment there on time
They have hefty late fees, that's for sure
How are you getting it there?
You may need to send Priority Mail or Express Mail to insure it gets there on time
Maybe even Western Union Quick Collect

All of the answers so far are good advice. But I would tell the credit card company that you are putting it the mail today. As long as your payment is postmarked a day or two before the payment is actually due, there is nothing they can do. They will try to add a late fee, and possibly sending your account into an overdraft fee, if they do, ask to speak to the super. and be ruthless that they reverse those charges. If they still refuse, tell them you are prepared to take them to court for false charges on your account.
I have recently went through this and actually got the charges reversed. It is really hard and very frustrating but it can be done. Otherwise, I would try one of the above suggestions.

I disagree with homemake... They want their money before the due date. They don't care about postmark dates. Some government agencies, like the IRS, may say "its okay if you have it postmarked by the due date." But most companies don't think that way. In the case of the IRS, they know that millions of tax payers swamp the post office with envelopes on April 15, so they allow for it. If you owed my company money on a given date, and gave me some excuse about the mail being slow, I wouldn't accept the excuse.

The cc company may offer an online payment service. Or simply call the cc company and pay it with a check. Or open up a P.O. Box. if the box can be accessed 24/7.

You do not have to wait for the bill to write the check. You can call them while the bill is in the mail and ask the amount. Then you can write the check before the bill arrives.

Most credit card companies have a website that you can sign up for to get an e-bill. E-bills are usually emailed weeks before paper bills are sent.
