i am an international student from Europe, and the damage occured during the time when i subleased the apt to my friend, it is really not my fault. i know i am responsible for this because i signed the lease with landlord. im leaving canada in 2 years, what if i don't pay back the debt?

if the debt has already appeared on the credit report, should i contact the original landlord for payment options or the collection agency? or the credit bureau? thanks

I got this credit card(a secured one) a lil more than a year ago from my bank.I was new to the CC world back then, and didn't mind paying a $29(annual fee)to get my credit history started.Lil did I know that after a year, when my service would be upgraded(i.e move from a secured to unsecured, with the bank refunding my initial deposit) my annual fee would still cling on.
Obviously, I don't want to pay this annual fee when I am getting so many better offers with no annual fee these days. The bank has also clearly stated that if I contact them soon to have this canceled,I wouldn't have to pay this fee. However, the thing about "closing a good standing ,especially the oldest card isn't good" is ringing in my head.what should I do?give me a better idea to negotiate with my bank

I'm planning to foreclose my 2nd house and leave my credit cards bills unpaid for 7 years then it would be removed. My question would the creditors put a lien on my checking/house/life insurance in the future? Also, would my credit reports be CLEAN after 7 years, no sign of unpaid debits?

I borrowed $45,000 through sallie mae about 2 years ago as a favor to my boss/best friends dad who needed it for the business he owns, of which i am an employee (with a bright future). The business pays the loan monthly, but I am still scared about anything going wrong in the future and being stuck with this loan in my name . Is there any way to have the business officialy assume responsibility for this loan so I can breath easy? Does having this student loan hurt my credit?

What criterion do you have to meet to be given about a £1000 overdraft from your bank? I just need one to pay off my remaining annual london travelcard fee, and I'd have the money to pay it back within the next few days.

Hi, American Express cancelled my account with them because of information found on my credit report, (delinquencies).

I ordered a copy of my credit report from all 3 bureaus, and I did not find any kind of delinquency on my report at all. All my accounts are being paid on time and I have no collections.

I called AMEX to find out what is going on and to tell them that there are no delinquency at all in my credit report and that I have always paid my Amex on time, and spoke with a rude representative and she told me that was nothing she could do about and I’ll have to re apply in order to have an account with them.

Does anyone know if this is correct, and if AMEX can do this kind of thing with their clients? And if there are any law that protect me .

I have a collection on my credit report that I have disputed and have been told that it has been verified as mine. I have contacted the company and they don't answer my letters and say that the collection is too old for them to have in their computers, it is from 2005. What would be the next step to remove it off my credit report?

I was told in the past that I could get a pre-paid credit card that you basically put your money into then use it like a regular credit card and it could help build your credit back up. Is there really anything like that? I just looked some stuff up and all I could find were pre-paid debit cards and I'm pretty sure that isn't what I'm looking for. If anyone knows anything, let me know. Thank you. :)

For example, you always see the sleazy car ads "No credit, bad credit, divorce, no problem!".
So does getting a divorce screw up your credit? If so why/how? Is there any way to avoid it and come out with your credit intact? What if you have a business line of credit...would it be affected? Thanks in advance!

If so, is it worth it, and who do you use? I want to keep track of my credit score, most websites offer it for free, but only for 7-30 days and you still have to give your credit card info.

I just found out that keeping my credit debt percentage at 25% of my credit limit helps my credit score. I have a $500 credit limit and would like to spend up to $250, so I'd like to upgrade my credit limit to $2000 to keep my credit debt below 25%. Is this a good idea?
