I try to use my credit card to pay for everything that I can, because its a cash back card. Between my wife and I, we usually run a balance of about $2000-2500 a month. I then pay the balance off in full every single month and have never paid a penny in credit card interest. I'm also not buying anything extra just because I'm charging. I tend to get a cash back check from those purchases of about $100 or so every few months. So not only am I not paying finance charges, but I'm actually profitting, but is this still hurting my credit in any way?

will paying the $200 be better than paying the minimum of $10 that's due on the due date? like will the interest percentage be lower or it would still be the same?? thanks.

I was just wondering if you don't have any more debt showing in your credit report because you paid it off, but there has been all those charge-offs and derogatories, will you still have a low credit score? Or does it get higher after some time? And do apartments and all the other places that check your credit before approving you for anything, will they still have any reason to decline you or do you think that hardly ever going to happen if it can be seen that you did manage to pay off all your debt?

I bought a new car in 2002. Within that year I unexpectedly had a baby and was unable to work because of child care issues. My husband was still in school, so there was no way to make the car payment, so we returned the car (voluntary repo).

Well, I never heard another word from the finance company, so I figured there was no residual on it. Fast forward five years...I am doing my annual credit report, and find my repo conveniently placed on my transunion report. It says it was placed on it in 2002, but for some reason, was never spotted by any other creditors (I was able to purchase another car -with a low apr, and have been approved for other credit cards).

Anyways now I find this on my report and am left wondering, can I still be sued for the residual ($8000) after 5 years. I never recieved a notice or a phone call. There was never a judgement placed against me either. Should I just wait and hope this falls off my report in 2 more years?

Would it be dangerous to give someone my social security number, name, birthday, and address? It would be for a credit application but it is not for a certified car dealer, its one of those smaller dealers.

What can someone actually do with taht information?

I am 21 years old and I have nothing as far as credit. Everything I have is in my parents' name (phone, car, school bills, etc.). While I'm fortunate to have such generous parents, I think it will handicap me when I want to take out my first loan. I'm getting married in 2 years to a young man in the same situation. We want to take out a loan to pay for our own wedding and reception because we are very grateful to them for all they have done for us thusfar. We don't want anyone to co-sign for us. Is it possible to build enough credit to be able to take out a $10,000 loan with a decent interest rate in just 2 years?

After extensive research, for a friend and me, I found out that Credit Unions are the best places to obtain a credit card, and loans. I live in Houston, Texas and found many options for a credit union so I don't know which one to choose in terms of getting a good credit card with fraud protection and all that kind of stuff that a credit card from a bank like Chase have, a saving and checking accounts with no or < $6 fees on each, and good range on loans.

I know the website that tells me which credit unions they offer here in houston, but I am more interested in personal experience with them and how did they work for you in both short and long terms. Most of the stuff I read has been only to praise each union, but which business doesn't do that, so I want to know the good and bad of the union yourself have joined and which ones you recommend.

Hello, I am curious if medical expenses affect your credit score and how they affect them. My ex was responsible for a hospital bill, he signed off to pay it and now the collections agencies are after me to pay the bill. There is another debt from a collection agency that resulted from a hospital visit. Did I say I will never again be put in the hospital and that I can not stand doctors! Anyway, if anyone knows, let me know. Thanks!

I have a Cash Call loan. I am in the process of finding funding to pay them off. In the meantime, I don't have the amount they are asking for payment. I have read other places that they will call my references (three friends and three relatives), my workplace and me repeatedly once this has gone past due.

What are the laws in the state of Oklahoma or nationally in regards to them calling my workplace or references?

I don't mind fielding their calls to make arrangements. I just don't want to have some of the horror stories that I have read online.

And before the questions come....I was in a dire place when I took this loan for $2600 @ 96%. I have recently been ill or would have been able to handle the payment. I am looking for information on my rights, not criticism.

Thank you for any help you can give!

I applied for a frontier airlines mastercard today, and I got declined for not having adequate income I think, but that doesn't make sense considering I selected "student" under occupation. Is there anyone who is a student and was able to get a credit card with little or no income? Thanks.
