I had a lease car with GMAC that I had to let go do to financial issues. GMAC reported a derogatory entry in Feb 2000. It is now 7 years later and Experian is still showing this entry. I asked them to investigate in March but they reported as verified and did not change. Can I get this removed or is Experian correct?

I have a checking and credit card with them. I set up my credit card payment to come out on the 10th this month online via bill pay, for some reason it came out on the second, and they are telling me that it was not a bank error, and that It is my fault.

So since they took out the $100, that left me with 82, but I put about 100 on my card since last night.

So now I have FOUR transactions that happend when I was "overdrawn" and there is a $20 fee for each time you make a transaction when you have insufficent funds. The only reason I have insuffiecent funds is cause they took out my credit card payment a week too early.

So now I am $119 over drawn, but I am supposed to have $60 in my checking.

Do you think I will win this dispute? I am okay with the 100 being out, but I don't think that I should be charged $80 in fee's because they screwed up and took the money out took early.

What should I do? I really need those fee's off!!

If I have good credit and my fiancee has bad credit if I change my last name to his I will get bad credit too. Is that true? What does the changing of last names have to do with your credit score?

I constantly hear "oh wow your credit score is awesome for someone your age" when I apply to jobs...what's the point of checking a person's credit...even if a person has debt maybe that's why they're getting the job to get rid of their debt.....do people with bad credit scores actually get turned down for jobs and why?

I live in Washington state, and I am starting a credit repairing besiness. I already have a regular business license, and I am filing to be incorperated (LLC) but I am wondering if there is any requirement for a Credit Repairing Agency to be licensed in any other way, or bonded, etc. Does anyone know where I would look to find this information???

Currently I own a timeshare that is a hefty monthly cost and the yearly maintenance fees are high as well. I have looked into selling it but any company that I talk to has no garuntee of sale and I have to pay them anywhere from 800-1000 up front. If they don't sell it, then I am out the money I gave them. I have been on time every month since I have owned it but it is really hurting my pocket book. Also, my current contract job ends in December of this year and I relaly don't know where my next job is going to be or when I GET a next job. So I don't want to have this hanging over my head and get myself into a position where I CANT pay it. Any help getting rid of the timeshare would be great. I have been thinking of voluntarily calling the company and telling them that I cannot pay it anymore and see what happens. But I really dont know. HELP!

I have about 20 credit cards that I never use. I'd like to maximize my credit score. Is it better to cancel most of them (say, all but 2) in order to have less potential credit liability, or would the short-term relationship (less than 2 years for most) be an indication of a lack of stability?

Im slowly climbing out of debt. But after I pay a card off, I find an excuse to use it again. I think that canceling each card after paying it off is the way to go, but my wife says it looks bad on your credit. Is that true? I have worked my butt off to get to a 748 credit score and I'd like to keep it.
