A car loan balance of $10,000. I paid $5500 on the loan. Two months later, I was unable to make a payment. Shouldn't the $5500 cover me if I'm late two months later? I should at least be paid up for the next 12 months, right?

Ive being declined 4 a loan with my bank to reduce my payments on my existing loan because of a few late payments, I've also applied online 4 loans and credit cards out of curiosity but i have now realised it may have left footmarks on my credit score. Would this affect me getting finance on a car that i am looking at for 4,000. I work full time and earn a good wage. Would this be a problem??????

I ordered coins about a month or so ago and you sent me a notice of being out of stock because of a great demand. I never heard from you again and now your asking me to pay for something I never received. I always paid for everything I ever ordered from you but I won't pay for an item I never received. Please check on this.

My wife forgot about a medical bill that was in her name only. She pays all her bills and I pay mine, including medical bills.

When I checked my credit history recently, the collection agency placed it on my account as though I'm a joint holder of it.

Iowa is not a "community property" state but has a law that states the following:

597.14 FAMILY EXPENSES.
The reasonable and necessary expenses of the family and the education of the children are chargeable upon the property of both husband and wife, or either of them, and in relation hereto they may be sued jointly or separately.

To me this law states that I'm not liable for my spouse's bills until I'm taken to court.

The collection agency stated this law in their letter after I disputed this a second time. Do they have this right or not to use this law for their purposes?

If they are NOT the new owner of the loan, why should I even discuss the account with them, give them any private information.
I know someone who struck a deal with one and got a call back the next day saying the original creditor denied it.
So why deal with these guys, if they can't make a final decision?

My exhusband incurred over 7000 in debt after our divorce on a card that apparently I was a card holder. I found out 3 years later that he was deliquent and I paid off the debt because it was ruining my credit and he was no where to be found. Now he owns his own business and has never repaid me and will not take my calls. I have been trying to contact him for 2 year now. Please help.

I have a judgement against me for some medical bills from my son. The creditor was able to take $2,377.00 out of my checking account when there was only $1,212.00 in there at the time. I live in Oregon and I am quite sure that they are only able to take 25%. On top of that, even though the account is in my name, my roommate uses it too. $1,000.00 of what was taken out belongs to him. I have outstanding checks out for rent and bills and now I have overdraft fees too, and I'm going to have more when these checks go through! I'm not sure about how the bank (Washington Mutual) was able to let them have access to money that I don't even have. Any advice? Thanks in advance

I 've never noticed this before, but when I checked my credit report recently there are many things on there that are not mine. They are all positive transaction, but include a good sized mortgage, store cc, other cc, and one payed off small mortgage, I have a low credit score, I don't think these positive things are lowering mine, but I'm concerned that my negatives may be affecting someone else? I know they live in texas because that address shows up. and is says that my credit was established before I was 18. Where do I start in fixing this? is someone using my ssn?
