I returned something back onto my debit card, but it did not post today, I have been spending money today, and I am in the negative, when realistically, there is plenty in there, it just needs to post. Are they going to charge me for overdraft, when its actually in there?

I got a call about my student loans, which were managed by my parents; lon g story short, they moved and payments were not made on one of them because the address was not updated. This loan has been delinquent for atleast three years. Our states statute is 4 years, and they gave me a call. The person who called me did not identify herself as a collection agent. SHe told me that she was calling about my student loan and gave me a government website for me to verify the loan. She made it seem like she worked for the loan company. Because of this I made a payment arrangement for her. It was not until I was sent a letter to verify that the first monthly payment would be deducted from my account on the date that I realized that DCS was a collection agency. She also misrepresented the loan ammount, on the phone saying that it was $1597 more than the documentation that I was sent (this documentation did not arrive until after the first payment was made).

It was to my understanding that you can get one free credit report a year. How do I go about this, and can I possibly do it on line? If not, does anyone have their address for TRW or equifax ect.?

Specifically, say one has had his car repossessed. Would it make sense to then default on other consumer debts with the hope of paying them off later at a discount after write-off? The idea being: one's credit has sustained major damage because of the repo so future defaults (even when one has the ability to pay) would not make the situation any worse. Think of it as the situation getting worse in order to make it better, quicker. Why pay something off at 100% (plus interest) when it can be paid off in, say, a year at a fraction?

Ex-fiance was supposed to be paying on my Sears bill and was to notify me if he couldn't so that I could pay it. Well, I get a call from a collection agency stating its in arrears and the minimum payment is over 1000.00. I took a loan out to pay it off, but it cost me over 100 points on my credit score. Shouldn't I have been notified before the account got to the collection stage?

I tell the collectors that he doesn't live here anymore, and they tell me that they will call me tomorrow. This has been going on for over a week. Is there any legal action I can take? These people are starting to be rude to me.

Hello

I'm completing my first year car payment (of 5 yrs car loan) in Dec2006. The interest rate is high and i would like to refinance.
I have a secured credit card ($500) with payments on time and Regular Credit Card ($3000) of which i have $2500 used but no payments delayed.

Anyone, please advice me
1.How much my credit score approx. would be?
2.Can i refinance my car in Jan2007?
3.If i pull my credit info, is it accounted as a Hit?
4.If i ask my lender (any bank, credit card companies) to pull the info, is it a hit?

Please advice. Thanks in advance!
Appreciate it
Casinoroyale
