See a bankruptcy attorney in your area. The first consultation is usually free and they can help you determine which chapter you can or should file. The laws have changed recently making it a bit more difficult to file. A counseling session, etc. Not that big of a deal. Good luck to you!

You would have to go talk to a attorney most of them will give you a free consultation. i think you can also go to your local library and they have papers to file yourself and you will not have to go threw a attorney. you will still have all the court cost fees and such but no attorney fees

It's not as easy as it once was. I'll bet if you try it without a lawyer, you'll get the whole case tossed, and wind up worse off than you are now.
