The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that U.S. consumers be entitled to a free credit report each year. The government’s goal is to make sure that consumers stay informed, fight identity theft, and get fair treatment.

This is the government mandated website where you can get 1 free credit report from the 3 agencies for free in one year. Totally free and won't even ask for your credit card

Yes, you are entitled by law to one free report from each of the three credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and Trans-Union. Go to annualcreditreport.com to order your free copy. It's up to you if you order all 3 at once or space them out a different bureau every 4 months.

Its probable because you have become his verify, that he stopped paying the credits card funds.
