My husband has some flaws on his credit report. (scored in poor section) He needs a credit card or store card that is easy to get to try and get a revolving line established. We plan on buying small amounts & paying off each month. Any suggestions for easy to get cards for people w/ poor credit.

A car bought in 02 I think- we had to let it go back. We want to purchase a home... but need to take care of this. What can we do?
Status: Account charged off/Repossession. $5,303 written off. $2,146 past due as of Jul 2004. This account is scheduled to continue on record until Jan 2011.
Challenge?
How do you challenge it?
Settle?
I can't seem to contact the company to even talk to them! Give them his SSN & they can't find anything on record.

If we made any sort of payment on the car doesn't it make the 7yrs start over again?

Any help provided would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all,

Here's the situation:

Several credit cards are late and now in collections.
Creditors have been calling for months now.
Currently credit report has them all as in collections.
Creditors have offered me some fairly attractive terms to settle the debt.
In some cases 75% off

Would my credit score improve more quickly if I settle and the credit report
states settled.,

Or should I just let them get charged off?

Any and all opinoins appreciated,

I asked this before, but no one really answered my question. If I have bad credit, but have been banking with the same small credit union for 2 years, do you think thye will give me a $2000 personal loan if I have collateral and a co-signer?

Hi everyone. When i was 18 I messed my credit up bad(should have listened to my parents). Im now 23 and I paid off 3 negative accounts and paid one that we settled on an amount. I know its going to be on my credit for awhile but it says zero balance now. My question is, i got a new credit card to rebuild my credit its only $250 limit. Is it better for me to keep the balance very low? and of course make the payments on time? or do creditors want to see a balance held? Im at 555 score now i want to get back in the 600's whats the best way to get my score back up? any advice? and if i pay it on time for 6 months how fast will it go up again/>

In 2006, Dr. Mohammed Yunus from Bangladesh and Grameen Bank got noble prize in peace. The noble committee thought poverty alleviation is the key to peace. But isn't poverty alleviation more related to economics? Previously the theory of banking was 'You give loan to people who HAVE money, so that they can repay you quickly.' Mohammed Yunus believed that people who already have mone doesn't need any loan. He beleived 'You give loan to people who DO NOT have money, so that they can form a capital, earn money and then repay the loan.' This is perhaps the most revolutionary theory in banking system. So isn't economics the field where he deserved a Noble prize?

I have a charging order on my property, and I am trying to raise some funds to clear the debt, however a restriction has been put on and my mortgage company cant release the funds unless I pay the charging order, If I dont pay my home may be repossesed, If I increase my mortgage to clear the whole debt I wont be able to afford the repayments, if i sell my house I wont have enough money to put a deposit on a new home, I have made what I think is a reasonable offer to settle the debt, given the fact that 2 thirds of the money owed is interest but the company working for the bank wont even ask if this is acceptable or not
