Why is it that someone who's working and making a fortune in wages is more likely to get more and more credit than someone on benefits who just wants a little extra help? Why are people on benefits penalised for being poor? Is it because creditors will have nothing to take from them if they are unable to make payments? Lets face it, if you don't own your home you've really got no chance. I can understand why some people see crime as the easy way to get money! (Not that that makes it OK, of course).

I have a lot of parking tickets and a couple other traffic tickets like driving without a liscense and parking in a handicap spot. I probably have about $2000 in fines, all of them are minor traffic offences.

Would filing for bankruptcy eliminate these fines? And how long does it take to establish credit after filing for bankruptcy?

Why is it when you pull your own credit score it is higher than the one your real estate agent pulls? I pull mine directly from the bureaus website, my agent uses some company there is over a 40 point difference. According to my records I raised my score over 50 points from Sept. 5 to Oct 3, my agents came back the same as hers did last month. This is frustrating. Also what is a rapid rescore?? Also, if you ask me to e-mail you, please make sure you have an e-mail address on file that I can find. Thanks :)

I am 21, married, mom. I have never had a credit card before, neither has my husband. The little bit of credit I have is bad from when I was single and struggling. I dont NEED a credit card, but I would like one to just put small purchases on and build credit with. What kind of card could I qualify for that would be best for me?

My fiance's creditors (NCO Financial, Canada) keep calling my parents house asking for him. I have told them SEVERAL times that this was the wrong number. They have my fiance's number but don't even bother trying to call it! They just keep calling my parents house. My fiance has been paying off his student loans, I am assuming that they keep calling to try to get more money.

Is there any way to get these annoying idiots to stop calling my parents house?

I am currently a college student and I have had a bank of America Student Credit card with a 700.00 credit limit for about a year. I have been using the credt card occasionally and then paying the charge off immidietly from funds in my checking account with my banks online bill pay service. I suppose Im using the card a bit like a manual debit card. My question is will I build a good credit score this way or do I need to pay some interest somewhere? Im pretty sure the card has no annual fees but Im sure it has a high APR. Any thoughts?

I just found out that my mother (who died in 3/06) had me as an authorized user on her Citibank credit card. Now since the estate is pending and she was behind when she died, it is not paid off and it is showing up on my credit report.

Should I dispute this? Will this affect my credit score if I was not the one who opened the account and did not use the account?

Will it hurt my credit score more to disput it than to leave it on?

Thanks

I consolidated default student loans into one payment. My credit report is showing the consolidated loan plus the original loans. Now it appears that I have double the amount of debt. I can't get a loan because creditors are saying that my debt to income ratio is too high.

Will they take you to court? I have this big bill of like 700 some odd dollars that I can't pay. If they can send you to court, how long do they wait?
