I was very high in credit card debt for being 20 due to an ex-boyfriend. But I cleaned it up and now I can start rebuilding my credit. I applied for a credit card cuz face it we need one in todays world to do anything. But if I get it fine, but if not then fine also I'll deal. BUT I am worried that I may start going crazy with it and get myself into debt again. What can I do so I don't?

I am recovering from some financial problems from years ago. My credit scores are around the middle 650's. I recently purchased a home (1200 mortgage) and I have 2 mastercards with 0 balance. No other bills except utilities, cable, etc. Make approximately 65K per year. What am I looking at for interest rates? I have 5K for down payment. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I just closed a mtg refi. My lender found a $3500 chargeoff on my credit report. I called the company who placed the item. They could not find anything with partial acct # provided on the report. Had them cross-reference my social security #--nothing.

I spoke to a rep (in India, maybe?). Was asked to fax all info that I have to them. I don't have info. I need THEM to provide info since they are the ones who placed this item on my report.

What is the best way to handle this? Deal with the creditor and hope they rescind the item on report. Deal with the reporting agency and hope, since I don't any documents, that they see merit in this case and proceed. Or, pay a local atty a fee to handle this?

When contacting the creditor about this, I was switched repeatedly to/from different reps. I sensed a run-around and don't want this to get long and drawn out.

What is the most sensible course for resolution? The path of least resistance? I don't want a headache.

can the new collector, without notice, report you to the credit bureau? I recently made a settlement arrangement with the first agency and sent them money only to discover that I have been reported by another agency.

Lenders....... Id say that once you have paid 3 times what you originally borrowed .... then you should be out of debt. But NOT with revolving credit ...... I see way too many people being allowed to borrow more than they should and for frivalous purposes. And when People go Bankrupt .... we wind up getting to foot the Bill By escalating Prices...... Agree or Disagree?

Okay, i got into a car accident about a year ago. This lady is suing me now. my auto insurance company has tried to settle this with her before going to court. She won't accept it. I was told that my insurance will pay for the settlement but if the claim has to go through court, this whole thing will somehow go on my credit report. I have really good credit right now. i think it's up to 746 right now. Do you know if and how this will affect my credit?

I was 19 when my was destroyed. I needed an emergency surgery and didn't have insurance. The "doctors" couldn't figure out what caused the pain, but told me I have endometreosis and also took my apendix.

The bills were overwhelming and I paid what I could- but didn't really have that good of a job. Parents and family couldn't help out.

So because I thought I was going to die, didn't have medical insurance and couldn't keep up with bills (I tried to work out payment plans with no avail) My $20,000 Surgery fkd me for life.
