I know that running late to an interview is BAD but in my case, I thought that I was going to be late so I called in 5 mins before and told the interview that I was running a few mins late because of traffic on the bridge. She said that it was fine and not to worry about it. Turns out that I got there on time with a min to spare.

Was it a bad move for me to call in thinking that I was going to be when actually, I made it on time?

Okay so I'm in 8th grade..And right now teachers put so much presure on you telling you that you should already know what you want to be when you grow up..And I'll tell you the truth I have no Idea..I have this hobby i love to dance and people say I'm good at it..So after I graduate I want to go to art school and get better at what i love to do..But thats not a carer I want a nice job..I want to find my dream job..so every time teachers ask what do you want to be whaen you grow up I would have an answer beside "i dont know".

So my question is can you list some good jobs and what you have to do there and how much they pay..???

I'm thinking something like a childrens dentist or a lawyer or a business women..

Can somebody learn to improve their peope skills? I consider myself to have good people skills, but every once in a while I make a mistake that should have been avoided. Can I improve this or is it something that is pretty much instinct and either you can do it or can't? Any suggestions on how to improve it?

I went to a job interview today. It went okay. Not spectactular. Anyway, the lady I interviewed with said that her people work 50 to 60 hour weeks and that "you can't get rich with a 40 hour a week job". I didn't say so outloud, but I wondered if any of those people were married or in relationships or had kids. I love my man too much to take a job where I'm always at the office and I'd never get to see him. Maybe I'm not cut out to be rich.

I'm a public relations major, top of my class, and I only accepted this position because it would involve a lot of communications. However, it's turned out to be nothing but administrative support. They completely misled me about the job and I really want to leave...

I'm back in the market for a job after owning my own lawn service- which I can no longer do ( hard physical labor ). I have not worked for anyone else, or applied for a job, in 22 years. I would appreciate any suggestions, or thoughts, on my hunt for a job. I'm not sure how to go about it, what to say... It's been so many years- help!

I have only been working for my current company for a year and half, but it is contract. I have worked other contract posistions with different agencies prior to that. Please see how I worded it:

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

January 2005 Projects Assistant (Contract)

Present ABC Company (currently), Colorado, Springs

I had a phone interview and I will have a panel interview tomorrow. Should I just not say anything. All they know is the position I work in now has been 2 years, and it states contract on my resume but I said nothing about it on the phone.

I would like to hear you response, thanks!!!!

I'm a sophmore in high school and as the title suggests I am totally clueless about what I want to do as a career. I have good grades and plan on attending a 4 year university and i have had tons of ideas of maybe of owning a bar/pub and maybe being an engineer but i really just don't know. is there anything that can assist me on choosing a career?

What I'm looking for is something that is motivation related. I know that this position is all it is ever going to be. No matter what I do, it will be turned around and blamed back on me. I saw this in my review. I was dinged for not helping in the A/R area, but I do not have access to the program. I also had comments on finding fault with others, it was their work; I did not do it, I was told to review and note the corrections.

In any event, I have started sending out at least three emails a day to try to get out of this nightmare; but nothing is happening.

I need to work to pay bills, there is no way around that.

This is just a very disheartening position, and I see no reason to put forth a 100% work ethic here if I will never get anything out of it.
