tomorrow morning I'll start training for photo lab. Did anyone work in the photo lab. What should I expect for the first day? and is it easy or hard?

I was a retail associate/photo lab associate and manager for 4 yrs..Not at Walgreens, however running a minilab is not hard if you pay attention... I think the machine's at Walgreens are pretty easy as well. The one's I worked on you needed to actually read the negative's.. The newer one's are much easier to operate... The key thing is to if necessary proper maintance and opening/closing of the machine.. If that's part of your job.. Also, learning how to troubleshoot a paper jam or other problems is key as well... Since, I'm not exactly sure of the machine you will be using. It's best to ask questions if you don't understand a procedure. If you will be handling chemistry it's very important that you know the proper safety guidlines as well for scraping the silver recovery unit (if you have one and it's your responsibility). Above all try to please the customer whenever possible- and if you make a mistake it's ok.. Film can be reprinted !! Good luck...
